However, the outdoor area is the reason we keep returning. We spend most of our time outside when we stay here.We love the hot tub and watching movies on the outdoor tv. "Our multi-generational family enjoyed our time at the Dome Home. It has everything we needed as well as plenty of space to spread out. It’s convenient to the Village area and surrounding activities. We enjoyed a relaxed weekend of family fun during the summertime at Snowshoe and then had fun with smores and the hot tub on the evening. The setting in the backyard and deck area is beautiful. You could forget how close you are to the main area at the resort."

The peace and quiet you crave

"this place was out in the middle of nowhere but was amazing. It was so quiet you could hear your ears ringing. the sky was clear and beautiful we saw shooting stars, the milky way and just beautiful night sky. if your in to books this is a place to explore. the owner had to have thousands of books and they were all well organized. some of the books were published in the early 1900’s. the host was very friendly and I am assuming that he put a lot of love into building this home. The only drawbacks I had was that the beds were not very comfortable and the living room furniture is very worn. this place is really out by itself but was so peaceful and actually forced our family to communicate and spend quality time together. I would definitely recommend. "

"We were not expecting much for a motel that has obviously been around for a long time (i.e. old), but we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were quiet, the beds were comfortable, and everything was very clean. The only disappointment was the onsite restaurant has closed."
