"We had an amazing week at Misty Cottage over the Christmas week. The cottage was fully equipped and gave 3 generations the space that was needed. The bedroom off the kitchen was perfect for nanny who often wakes early and needs a cuppa and the double and twin rooms on the top floor felt like a little private flat. "Cottage was perfect for a little family like ours. Great location close to the beach & food places we also found a little wooden park 5minutes round the corner that was brilliant for the kids to have a run round. Cottage was clean ,plenty off space inside and affordable for a young family. Will definitely be booking again and will definitely recommend to friends and family.thankyou for our stay😊"

"The house was everything we hoped for and more. The decor is spot on and there can't be many houses in Whitby with a better vista. The only thing I would say though is that it is very difficult to load and unload...Church St car park was packed so we had to use the Abbey car park which is a gruelling up/downhill slog for the less fit/able. Be prepared to travel very light as you can't get close to the property with a car. Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return."

"Couldn't fault the hotel, considering the building is 150 years old it was in great condition, very well looked after, everywhere was clean and tidy. It was -1 outside but the whole hotel was lovely and warm, very relaxing. The staff were all nice and very helpful, the food and the dining room were great. The only thing that let it down was the parking outside, not enough spaces."

Lobster Pot, Bridlington by Marston's Inn

Extremely disappointing stay

"Check in was very good. Friday night meal was ok, shame no mixed grill, steak, hunters chicken or pedigree bitter. Reported faulty shower 8.30am Saturday morning whilst having breakfast, my wife had a shower and if flooded the bathroom, including soaking the light fitting. She had to use all the towels to stop the bedroom flooding. I was unable to use it. We received a call at 4.00pm to offer a change of room but we were out for the day, so as we were told it was still going to be repaired we said it would be okay. We went for dinner later and checked again and were told it would still be repaired. We left Sunday, shower still not repaired. Quite honestly we should have been told it would not be done. The staff are extremely nice, but it appears they lack support. Could not possibly give a positive review of the place, there were even dirty footprints in the entrance from what appeared to be a plasterer that were not cleaned all weekend"

"Our first room was ideal for me and my mum , but the tv didn’t work , so there was no hesitation from the staff and they moved us straight away and wow we got upgraded to a suite which was amazing , my 85 year old was crying when she saw it and the view was overlooking the sea .. plus we had 2 tvs:) Thanks to the staff for making our stay extra special "
