"The boat was well maintained and very clean. Casey is a wonderful host. We shared some wine and Dutch cheese and watched the sunset from the boat platform. Enjoyed every minute of our stay!"

"We stayed in the island lodge. The lodge itself is very nice, only downpoint of the actual lodge is lack of storage space in the kitchen. My biggest complaints about this place were 1. When making the booking it NEVER mentioned that the only way to access your lodge is via a small rowing boat. I kid you not. "We were excited about booking this property when reading the posting. When we arrived later in the evening we found the only way to the front door was crossing a rickety, rotted out deck with nails sticking up all over. The strong odor of musty/mold greeted us when we opened the door. Host told us to just open some windows. Then we found there was a ladder type stairs to go up to the sleeping area. We are in our 70’s and can’t do stairs due to back and knee problems. But it was not listed in the...

"We had a great time in Amsterdam. Wessels place is a nice spot for families, outside of the main hustle and bustle but easy enough to get in via tram - especially the zoo.We got a great view of fireworks over the canal from the top floor windows."

"The boat is very basic but is in a great location not far from the centre of old Amsterdam. (Ignore Diemen as the location). It’s very cheap for Amsterdam which makes up for its basic amenities. You can make use of facilities in nearby cafes and the Public library. The surrounding area is just off the tourist route so you get to see how locals live. Cees was a great host, very accessible and happy to help out and give advice."

The coffee and takeaway area was lovely to sit at near the pool, meals in the restaurant were also very good.
