"Really was a lovely place to stay. Staff always helpful and chatty. Room was immaculate and so was the hotel. I really cannot fault. The food was excellent with lots of choice and fresh. They certainly did not cut corners with lovely meat dishes, lots of fresh fruit, fresh breads really nice. "From the arrange pick up at the airport to our departure this was a fantastic stay. The staff is genuinely welcoming and makes you fell special from the moment you walk through the door. They've understood the difference between service only and service with hospitality. From the receptionist to the sommelier via the bell boy to the restaurant and bar staff - we can highly recommend this hotel and we thank you all for a great stay! "

"Slightly mixed feelings. Xalet Montana is lovely; newly/nicely renovated, very clean, well-maintained, centrally located, free parking across the street, friendly/polite staff, nice mountain views, good/fresh breakfast (perfect coffee), free ski lockers at the main Soldeu gondola (gondola is a 5-minute walk & takes you up Grandvalira). It's adult-only, so no loud children running around... just loud-drunk adults! Main cons: The spa was clean and relaxing, but the jacuzzi was cool/tepid, not hot....

"In despite of excellent communications and support from the staff, it is unfortunate that they have been let down by a property that is tired and in need of a facelift! The sofa beds were old and in some instances broken and in need of a replacement. There was nowhere really to dry ski gear and car parking is only suitable for small cars. Overall, I would say an average property with exceptional service!"
