"The Waterfront Retreat on the Patuxent River is better than advertised. Our whole family stayed -- everyone loved it! It was clean, comfortable, with everything needed to stay comfortably, sleep, eat, relax and use as a home base for exploring. Solomons Island and the surrounding area was filled with lots of fun things to do (restaurant's, museums, history, boating, walking, etc.). "

The house is very well equipped, especially the kitchen, so cooking the local seafood was easy. "The A-frame cottage was clean and comfortable. I was accompanied by my son and two grandchildren (ages 12 and 14), and we really loved it. We went fishing in bay at the beach area below the cottage, and also did a lot of fossil hunting along the cliffs, which are breathtaking. Our host Teresa was extremely helpful and welcoming. We will definitely be going back!"

"The place is tucked away and totally private, beautiful view, comfortable and clean. The owners were very accommodating to one issue that we had with the house resolved quickly. House is equipped with a ton of amenities and a 6seater limo style golf cart to carry everyone and their things to the fishing pier. We wish we had stayed longer. "

"We had grandparents (75yr), parents (50yr), young adults and teenagers (17-21) and a dog. Everyone had something to do and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We did canoeing, swimming, boarding, fishing, crabbing, biking, sunbathing, we had S’mores, watched marvelous sunset, played card games. The dog had the most fun by chasing squirrels and rolling in the mud. He did not get to do this at home. My parents came to visit me from Bejing China. They had a good time talking with Rob and their grandkids. The house is fully equipped with everything we needed. We hope to come back again!"
