Great View, But Comfort and Convenience Fell Short
Our stay had some positives, but several issues made it less enjoyable than expected. The highlight was definitely the incredible view of Central Park from our room — truly stunning and a memorable part of our trip.
Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our room wasn’t working properly, and we ran into other guests experiencing the same problem. We had to ask for a fan, but even then, sleeping was uncomfortable due to the heat.
While all six elevators were working, wait times were still surprisingly long. In the evenings, the lobby would get quite crowded with people heading to the rooftop, which made coming and going a bit chaotic for hotel guests.
Overall, a decent stay in a great location, but some important comfort and service aspects really need improvement.

This is the third time I’ve stayed at the Hotel Beacon. Location, staff, and cleanliness are all great. The air conditioning is a little noisy, and there’s no air conditioning in the hallway. But overall the experience was excellent and I plan to stay here again. The old elevator is a hoot. I love it.

Property is in a fun, vibrant area. Easy to access everywhere via transit.
Pool really isn’t accessible to hotel guests. Paid beach club for over 21’s. GM was helpful when I had issues with opening hours.
Could definitely benefit from more front desk staff.
