Located in Southwest Harbor known as the quiet side of Mount Desert Island, minutes from downtown shops and restaurants.The property is set back off Main Street and next to the golf course! The property is less than a 2 minute drive to Echo lake which has its own beach with lifeguards and much warmer water than the ocean, water reaches 75 degrees in the summer VERY NICE FOR A RELAXING SWIM OR JUST RELAX THE DAY AWAY WITH A BOOK. But if you prefer the Ocean We are minutes from that as well, We have Sand beach that is in the Acadia National Park. Its is also close to the stop for the free Island Explorer shuttle bus that serves the entire Island. Southwest Harbor is 15 minutes drive from Bar Harbor and minutes from Acadia National Park, hiking, biking, kayaking, whale watching and all of nearby attractions.

Property overveiw: The rental is a spacious 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom with over 800 sqft and sleeps 2. Second floor Apartment. No children.

The rental is fully equipped - It comes with linen and towels provided ( PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BEACH TOWELS) as the rental towels are for the bathroom only. It has a full bathroom with walk in shower, no tub. Full Kitchen inc - Stove / Fridge freezer / Microwave / Breakfast table/cutlery, plates, toaster, coffee maker, etc ....

The lounge has two love seat sofa's plus lounge chair, LED roku T.V. with apps, inc cable channels, Netflix etc.+ free wireless internet connection.

The yard is at the back of the building and has a picnic table and grill / BBQ

This condo was so conveniently located very close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. It was very large and SPOTLESS. The owner, Tim, was very helpful and gave us numerous suggestions for things to do around the area. It's also walking distance to a supermarket and mini golf, which was a lot of fun. The condo is located right on Main Street so there is some car noise if you're sensitive to that type of thing but we were out most of the day, so it wasn't an issue for us. Would highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful rental!
We enjoyed our stay here very much. It was nicer and much larger than expected from the pictures. Everything was clean, comfortable bed, large living room with multiple sofas, well appointed large kitchen and dining area. It is less than a mile from Southwest Harbor and easy access to Acadia. I would definitely stay here for future visits to Acadia area.

Nice, Clean and Quiet
The Vrbo was very clean, spacious, comfortable and in a quiet spot.The kitchen was well supplied with kitchen wares and found whatever was needed for cooking. Highly recommend Acadia national park and walking around Bar Harbor. Acadia has so much to do it's hard to do everything in one trip.

Great location, lots of space, very clean.
We were very comfortable in this rental. It was spacious and clean. We enjoyed easy access to Acadia Park, and were close to many wonderful trailheads. Southwest Harbor offered many good restaurants without the crowds of Bar Harbor, which is a 20 minute drive.

Fall Road Trip
Great location, clean and had everything we needed. Power outage happened, but the owner had a generator and didn't miss a beat! He kept us informed of progress of the work being done by the town until power was restored. Close to trails and some really great restaurants. Very pleased

It is ideally located to Acadia (about 20 mins). It is located on the major road to Southwest Harbor [about 6 mins away] So some morning traffic noise but wasnt bad. Very spacious and comfortable.

We liked the cleanliness and spaciousness. And it was close enough to key access points of the park. Less appealing was the walk up the stairs to get to the unit. Still—overall a good place from which to visit beautifully Bar Harbor and Acadia.

Our research indicated that the property was close to a busy road and that was true. We kept the bedroom windows closed at night and didn't have a problem. The location was very good and it was easy to reach anywhere on Mt Desert Island. It would be nice to have A/C in the bedroom; the fan there was not very functional. The host was great and we enjoyed our stay. Much better than staying in Bar Harbor !

Nice place with no worries!
On the quieter stay of the island so depends on what you are looking for. Was easy to get around the island to see different places and get to Acadia National Park. In our unit there were a couple of beach chairs and beach towels which were nice to have and we took them to Echo Lake Beach very close by and much less busy than Sand Lake. Asked a couple questions of the owner and he was very responsive. Place was very clean and well stocked. We would recommmend staying here without question!

Clean and easy drive to Acadia
The property is as listed. Note that it is in a multi unit building. Be sure to be receive your unit number prior to check in. We were not given the unit number, but a phone call to Tim fixed that problem. The building is on Main Street but was not loud. Easy 15 minute drive to Acadia. If you want to catch the free shuttle to the park, the walk to the stop is over a mile but there is a municipal lot in downtown SW harbor in which to park to catch the shuttle. All and all, great place to stay.

Spacious and well appointed
We had a lovely stay in this spacious (at least for a New Yorker) and comfortable second floor unit. There was a full kitchen, dining room, and even separate living room with couches, in addition to the bedroom and bathroom. As vegans it was great to be able to use a well-appointed kitchen to prepare some simple meals after our long hikes. There were a lot of nice touches that we wouldn't see in corporate rentals, from the wide assortment of crockery to plenty of extra hangers in the closet. And of course the location is great: away from the hustle and bustle but no more than a 30 min drive to anywhere in the park. It's also one of the cleanest vacation rentals I've ever been in. Thanks to the Clements' and cheers!

Great place in a great area
The place was very clean and larger than we expected from the photos. There was just two of us but there was a rollaway bed and a pack ‘n play, if needed. The place was equipped with everything we needed. We had a problem with the TV one evening (our fault) and Tim came immediately to help us. Plus we had a lovely conversation with him. The area and Acadia National Park is one of our favorite places to travel to. This rental was perfectly located for us to avail ourselves of the beauty of this area. And the weather cooperated while we were there. We highly recommend coming to this area in the Fall. More beauty than you can imagine Theresa & Dave October 23, 2018

My expectations were not met
The house was equipped with all the necessities to make you feel at home but the bedroom was right next to the highway which was noisy every minute of the day. We needed ear plugs and a fan going in order to sleep. The place was clean but we could not contend with the constant noise of traffic. I would not recommend this place if you want peace and quiet. We only stayed three nights and decided to leave. I could not figure out how it was rated 4.8 stars.

Birthday celebration in Bar Harbor
Arrived in Bangor airport around 10:00 a.m. so we had plenty of time before we checked in to Tim's place. Went for a late breakfast, then stopped at Cadillac Mountain to check things out. We left there, put the address in the GPS but it actually took us to a little restaurant before Tim's place. We then continued down the road but actually passed it up (think it could have been better marked) and had to turn around. Once we found the place, I had to search through e-mails for the passcode to get in because Tim's e-mail with the code went to my junk mail. But, once we opened the door and walked up the steps, we forgot our frustrations as my husband and I were very impressed with the place. Very spacious 1-bedroom and well-kept! There were also 2 beach chairs and a cooler for our use (having the use of the cooler was great!). The bed was very comfortable. Other reviews mentioned noise from the road, but after hiking and sightseeing all day, once we laid down, we never heard a thing. But, there is a fan in the room that would drowned out some of the noise if needed. We never got to meet Tim as we left early in the morning and got back late in the evening as his place is minutes from town, not far from Beech Mountain and Echo Lake and less than 20 minutes from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The supermarket is just minutes up the road so it was convenient to pick up coffee, cream, water, beer, etc. His place is very reasonably priced & centrally located which is something I was looking for when searching for a place to stay because I knew we would only be using it as a place to put our heads because there's so much to do in the area. Would highly recommend it. p.s. would recommend Tim having a little bigger sign with the address.

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. The bed and bedding were great! Place was very clean. Close to a small grocery store and coffee shop. You could hear traffic from the main road but otherwise it was quite. I'd stay here again if we every come back.

Great spot!
A gem of a find! It was well appointed in the kitchen, very clean, comfortable beds, lots of towels, plenty of space for 2. I appreciated the hosts' welcome email with ideas of places to explore and restaurants to try. There was even a basket with maps and more information. It's far enough away from the bustle of Bar Harbor yet easy enough to get to aspects of Acadia National Park quickly.

Fantastic Three-night Stay
This is an exceptionally comfortable rental, close enough to Acadia N.P. and Bar Harbor but just far enough away as to provide some relief from the crowds. The apartment had all the home-away-from-home necessities, including a fully stocked kitchen, separate dining area, very comfortable bedding, cozy living room area with a large TV, etc. The unit was immaculately clean upon my arrival and everything was in good working order. Tim is an outstanding host and was highly communicative with clearly articulated check-in info, house details and area recommendations. I would recommend this property without hesitation for any travelers seeking a one-bedroom accommodation. Hope to return in the future!

Nice sized place!
Decent place to stay as long as the noise from the busy road in front of the place does not bother you. The unit had everything we needed with the exception of ice trays. That’s so minor but I like ice in my water bottle when I’m packing up to go and is an easy fix. Pillows, bed, sofas and blankets were all comfortable which is the most important part! Owner was friendly and welcoming.
