Learn about the complex’s mission of making affordable space travel a reality in the near future.

Wander around the vast complex, which was constructed in 2006 and covers an area of 18,000 acres (7,300 hectares). Admire the spectacular modern designs of the terminals that look like science fiction inventions. Capture photos of these futuristic hubs set against the scenic backdrop of the red mountains of Sierra County. Book a tour in advance for a thorough understanding of the technology and the values of this futuristic site. Watch short films and chat to docents to learn fascinating facts about space and the Earth’s place within it. The visitor center is open daily from morning until late afternoon, while early tours are available Thursday through Monday. A fee applies for admission with discounts available to local residents and those under 18 years of age. It is essential to arrive with company, since the complex refuses solo entries to discourage lone travel with limited cell phone service and no service stations.
