Spreckels Holidays

So glad we chose to stay at the Grove. It’s in a pretty, safe neighborhood, walkable to great restaurants and shops. Check in was quick and easy, and the room was small (to be expected in this part of town) but comfortable and clean.

This was our 3rd year back to Zephyr. It’s usually our favorite place but there were a lot of problem's. The pillows and blankets felt different. Crunchy and like being wrapped in newspaper. The room smelled like feet and weed. The tub/shower was slimy and the drain was clogged. Very noisy neighbors with kids screaming and banging on the walls between 12am-5am 3 nights in a row. The fire alarm went off 2 nights in a row at 3am. I was approved for a late check out and paid extra but housekeeping came into the room when I was showing and then knocked on the door 2 times to ask when I was checking out. It just felt like the service and vibe was off. Maybe the Zephyr was sold or under new management? I hope they get it together again. The hotel has so much potential and is in a great location.

The staff were amazing! From the doorman to the wait and bar staff. Top tier care and customer service. This will be my go to stay every time I visit San Fran!!

This was on the quiet end of Fisherman’s Wharf, but we booked so we could have a rollaway bed. The hotel would not accommodate. It was noisy here and expensive.

This is a very nice place. Very kind staff, love the area, less than 1 block away from pier 39. Love it. Hotel is very nice, and big and very clean
