About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Black Creek's Maple Nature Escape

Nestled along the edge of the maple fields, is this cozy cabin that looks up across acres of rolling fields and maple woods! The view from the porch is breath taking, especially when the deer come to feed.
This "off grid" solar powered cabin has a full sized futon mattress in the loft and a full sized futon with a small table in the living space. Two camp chairs are on the porch and a wildlife fire ring makes cooking easy! An out building provides a compost toilet, portable shower and wash area.

During July and August the wild berries make a wonderful treat. Try your culinary skills over the campfire while the children play and explore nature. As night falls, a campfire with smores hosts a wonderful end to the days fun. After, tuck the children in and listen to the night sounds under the stars!

Looking for more fun, only 1/4 mile from the Lamoille County Rail trail. Also minutes away from restaurants, shops, zip line and mountain bike trails. Swim, kayak, or fish in The Lamoille or Brewster Rivers. The ski resorts and resort villages offer loads of summer fun indoors and outdoors! Also, less than thirty minutes from the Canadian border! Your site is only 1/4 mile from "The Rail Trail" used year round as recreational fun and part of the VAST system for snow mobiles. Or bring your ATV to enjoy off road trails nearby.

This off grid cabin is the perfect place to get away from the commotion of everyday life! There is a solar charged battery that allows enough power to run a light, and cellphone charger. Water for drinking and cooking is provided. There is a fire ring with a grill available to allow cooking over the fire. Campfire wood is available for $8. per bundle or 3 bundles for $20. You can chose to bring your own sleeping gear or it can be supplied for $10 per person. Cooking gear is also available to rent, let me know what you need!
Get back to basics and enjoy all that nature has to offer at Black Creek's Cabin Nature Escape!

Beautiful, as advertised!
My partner and I absolutely loved our peaceful getaway! The property was exactly as described and shown -- though the beauty of Vermont defies photography, so be prepared for an even more beautiful place than you're expecting! We stayed in one of the cabins and it was perfectly comfortable. Exactly the "glamping" experience I was looking for. Dianne was so helpful, friendly, accessible, and responsive. The amenities (composting toilet, outdoor shower, fire pit) were well-maintained and comfortable, the property was peaceful (the best sleep of my life falling asleep in the fresh air with the nature sounds!), and it was a pleasure to work with Dianne. Book your trip today, because this is a treasure you won't want to miss!

Fall single night
Really beautiful, especially in the fall. We came the second week in October and some reds had fallen but there was a lot of yellow. We were so warm and cozy! There is no way to cook food though, just an outdoor sink, fresh water, and toilet. If you’re coming from out of town make sure you rent a car. There is no Lyft or Uber service in the area.

This little cabin is everything promised. It is small but cozy. Outhouse wasn't too far away. It was pretty chilly though.

Disconnect and Experience
This would be perfect for anyone looking to disconnect for a time and really embrace experience in nature and basic living without the essentials we generally enjoy. Dianne was a great host!

Great Escape
Property is as advertised. I was a little surprised that 2 tiny houses are on site but the second one was not occupied while we were there. Property owner supplies firewood at an extra charge. Loft took a little agility to access and isn’t appropriate for taller folks. Great spot for Star Gazing and hanging out around the fire.

Wonderful stay and great little cottage!
This was our first time venturing away from hotels and staying at a VRBO. Dianne made it so easy! This little cottage was exactly as described. Dianne was very accommodating and was communicative both before and during our stay. We were very grateful for the hot shower water after a long, sweaty hike. The property has amazing views and is relatively close to shops that have supplies. The property is quiet and peaceful and offers plenty of privacy for guests. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Amazing off grid experience
Dianne was very welcoming and had firewood waiting for us. The set up of the small solar power generator, outhouse, firepit, outdoor shower & sink were perfect for the off grid experience we were looking for. The cabin was clean and well constructed making it easy to get a great night's sleep. The stars at night were incredible. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

Cambridge Cabin Getaway
My spouse and I had such a wonderful time at our little cabin getaway. We were a little caught off guard with the description of amenities included. If you are looking for more of a camping experience, this is a perfect spot. Otherwise, a more accurate description of amenities and supplies would be helpful for future guests. We will definitely be back again!

An adventurous experience
Speaking to my friends about it, I called it a very tiny rustic cabin. I was hoping to bring friends along, but it wound up just being myself. My friends have health issues and age related maladies. It was undoubtedly best that I tackled this experience solo. Dianne was extremely cordial and helpful. I would consider using this hideaway again.
