Perfect house and location for our road trip!
Driving in from Columbus as a family of 5 we wanted a house that had historic culture, and this place did not disappoint! Lafayette square is awesome and the house was great. Plenty of room for our family and the bonus theater room was great for the kids to unwind after a busy day. Host was responsive and helpful too!

Perfect place near the heart of St. Louis
This was a great place for our family for a short stay in St. Louis. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful, with nearby places to eat. The house is spacious and has a wonderful sense of history.

Great stay
It was our first trip to St. Louis.The property manager was excellent to communicate with . The historic neighborhood was wonderful and the history of the home was very cool. One note, there a many stairs so keep that in mind if you have physical limitations. Overall a super stay.

Lovely historic home
This lovely historical home was a special place to celebrate a getaway weekend in St Louis. We enjoyed the nearby cafe for morning coffee at Park Avenue Cafe ( their cappuccino chocolate chip muffins are delish) and the restaurants. The back deck of the home was great for visiting with friends. The decor and architecture were elegant, the art fascinating. Hosts wonderful.

What a spot!
I can't imaging a better location to spend a few days in St. Louis. Cute shops, great food and drinks, and epic homes abound. The house is a specticle in itself but please vendure out and see the neighborhood, 10/10 would recomend.

Wonderful location and fantastic communication with host
The house was in the perfect location in a quiet neighborhood with access to lots of wonderful local restaurants. Also easy access to the highways. The host was fantastic. She was very responsive when I had to make several changes to my reservation, during my stay, and even afterwards. The movie theater on the top floor was such a fun surprise!

This is a beautiful historic home with plenty of wonderful details. Home is just as pictured. It is in a quiet neighborhood close to several restaurants and downtown. I wish we had been able to stay longer. It was a perfect place for our weekend. Check in process was easy and welcoming. I hope to stay again sometime!

Great stay in St. Louiis
We loved this house, the neighborhood and the local restaurants. A great place to use as a base to explore St. Louis. The house was well equipped with a great kitchen and backyard to relax in. Lots of space and nice sitting areas. Susan met us at the door with a warm welcome and made us feel at home right away. Hope to stay here again when we visit family.

Home away from home
We loved staying at this house. It was in a great neighborhood with a great park and some great cafes/restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend going to the pond in Lafayette Square Park and seeing the swans (there were other birds and turtles, too). It’s a cute couple that were nesting while we were there with 3 eggs in their nest. The house was perfect for our family of 4. The third floor was great for unwinding after a long day of sightseeing. We’ll definitely try to rent this place again if we head back to St. Louis. Thanks for a great stay!

Another wonderful Christmas
This was our second year spending Christmas in St. Louis in Lafayette Square! Majestic Historic Property!
Shared this Vrbo with friends to attend a conference at Union Station/Stifel Theater. We were all very impressed! Great historic beautiful property, well maintained and well stocked with essentials for your visit. The bed was a bit too firm for my taste which is the reason for the 4/5 stars. Loved the porch and location. Communication with Susan was excellent. Would 100% stay again and recommend to friends !

Wonderful Historic Location.
We loved the location of this historic home and walked to area restaurants, coffee shops and the beautiful park at Layfayette Square. We would have given the home, with all of its historic charm, a 5 star rating, but it needs some minor repairs and deep cleaning. I left a detailed list for the property manager, but never heard from her.

lovely historic building unfortunately, the bedding needs updating and the ripped curtains and broken blinds need replacing. Windows all sealed shut so no fresh air upstairs adding to the musty smell. Susan was an excellent host and sorted out a few issues very early on which enabled us to have a comfortable stay.

Birthday weekend in St. Louis!
We reserved the property for my husband's surprise 30th birthday weekend with a few friends and family. Susan was great! She met us at the house when we arrived, gave us a walkthrough, and gave us some history on the house. The house is very cool and was well-suited for our needs! There is also a nice view of the arch from the third floor. It's just a short drive to Anheuser-Busch, we walked to the Cardinals game, and we walked to the local restaurants. All-in-all, we had a great time! Thank you!

Nice place
Had a bit of an issue with getting the lock open but if finally happened... Maybe a new lock. Place is very nice and close to ST. Louis sites. There is a lot of stairs nd they are steep, so be prepared.... but it was a good work out LOL. The internet had no signal in the media room. Maybe because of the storms... but worked on other levels. We had a mifi and we used our computers and an HDMI cord. Nice place to stay.

Wonderful
We loved staying in this beautiful, historical home in a lovely area of town. Susan is an exceptional host. We arrived earlier than planned but this seemed to be no problem for her. She met us at her property and kindly gave us a tour and showed us how everything worked and where everything was located. The house is beautifully furnished in keeping with the original style of the home, yet there is a modern, spacious kitchen with everything you would need to cook meals. We were in and out a lot but we did cook a large breakfast one morning, and we found the kitchen to be so well stocked that we only needed a few grocery items. The home is located on a quiet, tree-lined street and includes a lovely, peaceful deck and courtyard in the back, where we enjoyed relaxing and enjoying the weather. We would definitely recommend this home and hope we can stay here again on our next trip to St. Louis.
