"A good cottage to stay in the middle of nowhere. The cottage is clean and comfortable. Quite roomy for our family of 4. And the living room is kind of nice; private kitchen and bath is another good things. We arrived in a rainy days. This cottage gave us the comfort feeling and restful night."

"More of a basic cabin than anything. No dishwasher or TV, but great place to view auroras and surrounding scenery a few km from Hofn. Beds comfortable but needs some more (or bigger) pillows."

"Beautiful big house in the middle of nowhere. Enjoyed the peace and quiet. Spectacular nature all around. Trees at the property provided a nice break from the wind and we even saw an aurora borealis one night. Quite a few stunning locations just 15-20 minutes drive from the property. One is waterfalls with glacier fed water and the other black sand beach. The owner gave us some really good tips in advance of the trip. If we visit Iceland again for longer and attempt driving the entire Ring Road...

"The apartments was great and had all that we needed for an overnight stay for 3 adults. The negatives were that the entrance to the apartment was outside and up a flight of uncovered stairs which was not good in the rain. Also the bistro had a sign that it was open from 8am to 10pm but it was not open for breakfast. It was difficult finding anywhere open for breakfast in the area."

"Hotel Hofn, was in a peaceful and quiet town. It looks very corporate from the outside, but inside, it is warm, charming and inviting. The restaurant was busy with locals and guests. The room was large, modern and warm. The Hofn is comfortable, and the town is sweet, so it was the perfect stopover for us on our way around Ring Road. The town could be explored more and the staff were happy to assist with any questions or bookings. "
