"Lovely location in the scenic countryside and super clean accommodation with gorgeous bathroom and comfy bed. Food was very tasty but portions on the small side. Breakfast could definitely do with some small but significant extras. No choice of fruit juice, no toast or cereals and no ketchup or brown sauce available. I’m not keen on muffins and cinnamon rolls for breakfast so a choice would have been better. Tried to have some bar snacks, but they were too busy in the restaurant so couldn’t...

"Good, solid place. It really is a monastery with large grounds and impressive buildings. Welcome was very friendly and helpful. The property is dated, but in fairly good order. Bed was good. Breakfast was cereal and toast type. I was hoping for full breakfast but was not offered. Mirfield also a nice town/village, just avoid school closing time as very busy"

"Patrick and his wife were very welcoming, the property is dated but comfortable and clean and very reasonably priced. The surrounding area is a short walk away, with some nice pubs, restaurants (with gluten free options), shops and a Tesco etc... The only thing that would have improved our stay would have been some comfy chairs or small sofa in the room as I personally struggle watching TV in bed, due to health issues, but other than that it was a pleasant stay."
