Magical family holiday
Our hosts Marin and Anna lived on site and could not have been kinder or more helpful. The small hamlet of Rodina is a half hour walk uphill from Starigrad where the nearest shops, bars and restaurants are, but our teenage children coped well with this doing lots of walking, swimming and exploring ( excellent wifi). Despite the remoteness the villa is well equipped and we enjoyed many fun family meals cooking in the black kitchen in the garden. This was a truly wonderful place in an unspoilt corner of Hvar.

Fantastic stay
Lovely property, spotlessly clean. Loved the garden area and second kitchen, where we cooked and ate out in the patio/ garden area. Our hosts Marin and Ana were so helpful and kind. Would definately recommend staying here. You would need a hire car. Lovely hidden coves to visit and swim in the sea.

We had an amazing stay here. It was more perfect for us than we could have imagined. A beautiful, well equipped property with the added delight of the black ( outside) kitchen. A wonderful court yard garden . Our hosts had an eye for beauty. They were also keen to share their culture with us and provided us with some fabulous experiences. We were staying there with our French friends who share our interest in food and other people's cultures​ and the whole experience was perfect for us.

Auf der Suche nach dem Urlaub des Lebens
Wir waren eigentlich nur auf der Suche nach dem Urlaub unseres Lebens.. Scherz beiseite, mit ein wenig Imagination gelingt euch eine unvergessliche Zeitreise auf den aus der griechischen Antike stammenden gepflasterten Pfaden und den unvergesslichen Gemäuern des alten Städtchens Rudina. Es ist ein Ort der abseits der nächstgelegenen Kreisstadt Stari Grad schlummert. Ankica und Marin, die Besitzer des Ferienhauses einschließlich separater Sommerküche (eine wahre kleine Konoba), sind als genauso hilfsbereit und freundlich, wie auch diskret im Umgang mit ihren Gästen zu beschreiben. Ob man vom Alltag völlig abschalten, oder mit der ganzen Welt verbunden bleiben möchte, sei das vom Strand aus, auf einer von unzähligen Natursteinplattformen der zauberhaften, fußläufig entfernten Bucht, oder von der Terrasse im Garten hinter der Sommerküche umgeben von Granatäpfel-, Orangen- und Zitronenbäumen die hier im Gewürz- und Gemüsegarten stehen. Schon auf den Fotos bekommt man eine Ahnung wie liebevoll Ankica und Marin ihr Haus, in den letzten Jahren renoviert und eingerichtet haben. Eine hervorragende Basis für alle Erkundungen auf der gesamten Insel Hvar. Von dem Ort Rudina aus kann man alles unternehmen und das gesamte Angebot diese Insel wahrnehmen. Das Auto kann man eifach stehen lassen und aufs Fahrrad steigen um die mediterrane Luft die nach Meer, Lavendel und Rosmarin duftet zu atmen. Man muss aber auch Rudina überhaupt nicht verlassen, denn dieses Dorflein bietet genug Geschichten in die man sich versetzen kann und die hier in Stein gemeisselt sind. Ankica und Marin pflegen exzellente Kontakte zu Nachbar*innen und sind auch bei dem beschaffen von fangfrischem Fisch oder dem Nachschub von Olivenöl aus dem eigenen Anbau behilflich. Der Urlaub an diesem verwunschenen Ort bleibt uns unvergessen.

Urlaub im Paradies!!!
Das war unser schönster Urlaub! Nichts hat gefehlt. Von allem war genug da: Handtücher, Toilettenpapier, Töpfe , Teller, Strohhalme, Betten, Bäder, Wäscheklammern,... Wir wurden so toll empfangen und haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt! Ein zauberhafter Ort, mit viel Liebe gepflegt, von zwei wunderbaren Menschen! Vielen Dank!!

Hervorragendes Ferienhaus
Altes Haus bestens erneuert mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Schöne Einrichtung. Schöne Zimmer. Fantastische Küche in einem Extrahaus im alten Stil. Mit Weinlaub überdachte große Terrasse. Dabei ein Garten wie im Paradies.Alles sehr, sehr schön. Nebenan wohnen die Gastgeber, die ausgesprochen gastfrei, zugewandt und hilfreich sind.

Wonderfull Holidays!
We had a very nice stay in Rudina. The place was easy to find and we felt very welcomed right from the beginning. The house is well situated and also very cute decorated. It was on one hand antique but on the other hand modern furnished as well. Our host was very, very nice and helpful. They really brightened our stay and gave us many insider tips when asked as well as they even had dinner with us where they cooked traditional food for us (even vegan)! We had a very nice evening together and we definetly will not forget that!All in all we would recommend this place any time!

Very very nice!
It was a great stay and we were very sad, that we could only stay for one week. Marin and Ana are very nice and warm-hearted landlords - helpful, friendly and very aware of our needs. They told us so much about the island, it's beauties and places. The BBQ, they did for us, was perfect and we truly enjoyed every minute! The houses are modern, very well equiped and everything (!) worked fine. Especially the black kitchen surrounded by the garden is a great place to stay, cook and relax. We can recommend this place without any restrictions and we wish Ana and Marin all the best!

Perfekter Urlaub in schönem Ferienhaus
Wir haben unseren Urlaub in dem idyllischen Dörfchen Rudina sehr genossen.  Das liebevoll restaurierte alte Steinhaus fügt sich perfekt in das idyllische Dörfchen Rudina ein. Es hat  vier Schlafzimmer und ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Haus ist komplett ausgestattet. Es fehlte nichts. Alles ist gut erhalten und sehr sauber.  Ein besonderes Highlight ist das separate Steinhäuschen mit zweiter separater Küche und eingebautem offenem Grill. Die Küche ist auch perfekt ausgestattet sogar mit selbstgemachtem Olivenöl und Kräutern aus dem Garten der Vermieter. Hinter dem Küchenhäuschen liegt der wunderschön angelegte Garten mit großzügiger Terrasse, großem Esstisch unter Pergola und Hollywoodschaukel. Eigentlich kann man den ganzen Tag da verbringen und relaxen.  Ein ganz besonderes Dankeschön geht an die Vermieter, Ankica und Marin. Sie haben uns sehr herzlich aufgenommen, viele Tips gegeben, uns mit Wein, Salat Kräutern versorgt und auch für uns gekocht. Viel besser als im Restaurant. Wir werden ganz bestimmt wiederkommen.
