"This appears to be a fisherman's hostel that now caters to passing trade (people using it for overnight stays). Unfortunately, this now seems to translate into a degree of indifference about guests. The more interesting dinner choices are "unavailable" - and may only be used to get people to sit down. " The location is perfect for an overnight stay as it is close to the motorway. The bright clean room was basic but functional and so was the bathroom. We stayed in a corner room which looked out of both windows down to a road and there was some traffic noise. The church bells didn't bother us but every step in the room next door could be felt in ours. The hotel offers good meals and the breakfast was satisfactory. All is all it was good value for the money. "

"This is a lovely, friendly family-run hotel. The family are very welcoming and will do whatever they can to make your stay a good - no a great one. We have made new friends and will definitely aim to return as soon as we are able to. The food was superb and the service excellent and we recommend a stay here."

"From the front desk to the waitstaff in the restaurant, everyone was friendly and could communicate with us as we didn’t speak much German. The food was very good at the restaurant and the location was right in the middle of town. If you’re from the states and used to cold A/C you’ll have to let that go and enjoy the “light” A/C. I highly recommend this hotel in Deggendorf."
