This home is amazing! Mary Jane is one of the best Hosts that I have ever worked with. The home was exactly as described. Plenty of room for our whole family. We will go back and stay again.
Everything about this stay was perfect. Beautiful scenery from every direction. Enough space for my family to fit comfortably. We enjoyed the walks around the property and everything else it had to offer.
Very nice! Beautiful location, also convenient proximity to Stevensville.
The house was very well stocked and comfortable.
The cows are curious and friendly and the views are fantastic!
The Sheep Camp Cabin was AMAZING! Beautiful area, tastefully decorated with western décor, extremely clean and very well stocked. It was the perfect home for my family.
My husband n I with my youngest son n wife had to stay back in WI because we got Covid 😢
The rest of family had a really nice time n we will reschedule at a later date.
I reserved this beautiful home for 4 days while travelling to MT with my adult children and 2 year old grandson to attend a wedding for my niece in Victor. The experience was extremely positive. Mary Jane was friendly, responsive and excellent to work with from the booking through departure. The listing with photographs is exactly what we found when we arrived. A lovely home. We enjoyed our stay.

Lovely home with amazing views.
Thank you Mary Jane for letting us stay at your home. Perfect accommodations for multiple couples. Private country living without being too far from town.
Sheep Camp is, hands down, the most beautiful place you will stay in the Bitterroot Valley!! The wrap around porch offers views of all the mountains!!! The grazing cows and all the deer that pass through were fun to watch. Mary Jane was the most accommodating host. The house has everything you would ever need! You will not be disappointed!!!!
Mary jane is an excellent host. Sheep camp is a wonderful place to spend time with family or friends. It is clean. It is comfortable. It has all the amenities at home plus wonderful views in a quiet setting. Coming back for sure!

Remote and beautiful countryside. Home is immaculate. The only thing I missed was a horseback ride😃
We went to visit family for a long weekend and sheep camp was the perfect distance to all of the places we wanted to visit. The property was beautiful! There was plenty of room for the kids to play (ping pong and yard games were there!) and the adults stretched out on the wrap around deck with plenty of seating for all 14 of us! The kitchen was great! The only thing missing was an electric griddle for pancakes but we made due with the skillets. Plenty of towels and linens for us all for all 4 days and the washer/dryer really helped with not having to pack an over abundance of clothing. Do not hesitate to stay at Sheep camp it was an awesome get away!
Our stay was phenomenal. We stayed for a retirement celebration with our children and grandkids.
First, our hostess, Mary Jane, reminded us of days gone by with her warmth and kindness.
The environment is fantastic. There is just something special about that place; warm, inviting and comfortable, like being in the most peaceful of places. Plenty of room for children to play in the big backyard while adults could enjoy time on the deck. No matter the time of day, the deck allowed comfortable seating out of the sun. Mornings were especially wonderful greeting the day with cool morning air, a view of the mountains and cattle grazing about.
The house is beautiful and spacious. Make sure you read about the history of the house on the registration book, it is so very interesting. Everything has been thought of to make the stay comfortable. The beds, all queens in 4 of the 5 rooms were very comfortable...that is something very important to our old bones. Toys in the closet downstairs for the young ones and a selection of movies for the DVD player downstairs.
Lastly, the location is perfect. Not far from the many activities in which you may want to participate, but also quiet and private. We flyfish and we didn't have far to travel to find a great fishing spot. Or if visiting local breweries is your thing, a 10 minute drive would get you there.
We cannot say enough good things about this property. We were sad to leave the place but will carry the memories with us for years to come.
A group of old college friends just completed our 3rd stay at Sheep Camp. It's just wonderful. When I go to Sheep Camp, I immediately feel more relaxed. We love the solitude, barbecuing at night, staring at the mountains as the sun goes down, and making a fire in the firepit. Some of us played ping-pong on the nice table, others went for runs in the countryside or drove a few miles to the disc golf course. Mary Jane is also a really great communicator, and the check-in/check-out procedures are easy!
If you're looking for a quiet, secluded place with all the amenities you could need, you really can't go wrong with this place.
Most impressive thing about 'the sheep camp' is the owner. Her grace and hospitality are reminiscent of a bygone time and it is very refreshing to run into today. It made the stay feel like we were staying with accommodating family. You know, the kind you like.
Second impressive thing, was the view. Those mountains looked different every day - as the changing weather kept redecorating them, almost on a moment by moment basis. We took many photos - that never really could capture the grandeur - but are small reminders of the experience.
We were also surrounded by many deer, that often managed to get close to the house. Several busy squirrels kept using the guard rails as paths into to the trees, and after a while you could see how this kept them safer away from the ground.
Coming from a busier life ... I personally enjoyed the solitude one finds here, and spent much time in the quiet surroundings looking at the fireplace, or on the terrace looking at the mountains, enjoying the afternoon warmth of the sun.
One tip, on your way to and from the house - wave to those on a walk by the side of the road or driving the other way - it is a friendly gesture extended to everyone, and makes you feel like you belong there (even if you're only visit for a week as we did).
Would definitely stay here again, and recommend the place wholeheartedly ! (oh, and there are no sheep - so no livestock chores).
Thank you Mary Jane.
Great western flair. Comfortable beds. The views off the porch were amazing. Didn't get a lot of snow but we found places to sled in Missoula. A great winter trip.
Wonderful location!! Perfect set up for an extended family stay- great layout, wonderful deck, yard, all of it! Loved the bunkhouse!! So quiet and peaceful!!
The Sheep Camp is a Western Experience come true! In addition to a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable, cozy bedrooms, the entire house is furnished in western memorabilia. Each day we noticed another gem that we had somehow overlooked the day before!
The surrounding grounds were another gift! From the beautiful pine trees near the house, the beautiful lawn and lazy stream, we were greeted by beautiful blue skies above the Bitterroot Mt range.
Hostess Mary Jane was excellent in every way!
Our entire family will always cherish the memories we made here!
