Cottage Life in beautiful surroundings
We were greeted by our host who had kindly allowed us to deposit our luggage ahead of moving into the cottage. The cottage itself is cosy and well appointed with an Aga stove in the kitchen that keeps the cottage warm. It has a small but well kept garden with table and chairs for outside dining if desired. Also parking for two cars. We took some wonderful trips in the area where many of the villages have thatched cottages. There is a post office and village shop close by and local pubs within walking distance . A wonderful experience and great host!!!

A lovely cosy stay
This property is lovely, well equipped and has lots of character. We enjoyed time as a family by the fire or around the farm-house style kitchen table. The only areas for improvement would be for the bathroom to be a bit cleaner. Also, the larger of the 2 single beds was on a slight slope (the other one was very narrow), so this room would be better suited to young children. Overall, a great stay and good base to explore the lovely area.

Location!
The house is as listed. We enjoyed the location for fishing, exploring Winchester, and making it into London to catch a match. The efficient kitchen had everything we needed. The only thing I would recommend for those thinking of staying is to put the tall members of your group in the front bedroom as there is a low overhang to the back bedrooms. Be sure to have a meal at George Inn. It was delicious!

Ideal
Lovely location and cottage. Very comfy beds! Would just recommend a little cleaner, storage in the middle room and although towels were not supplied a hand towel in the bathroom would of been appreciated. Despite this the cottage was beautiful and we had such a fabulous weekend.

Lovely stay in Over Wallop
Family of four adults. We enjoyed are our stay at 3 Brockhurst cottages in Over Wallop. We love anything historical so staying in a 17thC thatched cottage in a village full of similar , beautiful properties (we looked them up on a listed building website) including the church and local pub, was really interesting. We enjoyed cooking on the Braeburn. Checking in and out was very easy and the arrival gift of an apple pie, eggs and milk was lovely. We enjoyed walks around the village and we visited Danebury hillfort, Stockbridge, Winchester, Fishbourne roman villa,Chichester and East Wittering beach. Everything worked well including the washing machine. The double beds were comfortable but the single bed under the window could do with a replacement mattress (OK for a child but not an adult). As history nerds we would have loved to have known more about the history of the cottage.

Lovely cottage, well placed for the Test
Our second visit and as last year, we found the cottage comfortable and well located. Steeped in character, an ideal base for our fishing trip. The White Hart pub, a two minute stroll away, is excellent for well priced food and beer. Many thanks.

A Taste of Old England
We visited here from the US and were excited to stay in a thatched roof home. It gave us a flavor of old England. The house was cute and cozy. The little garden was so peaceful and pretty. We learned how to use the Rayburn stove and snuggled in. A great resting place on our journey.

Couldn’t have loved this place more! Gorgeous cottage in wonderful location. Facilities are modern and clean and sympathetic to the historic fabric of the building. The stream at the foot of the garden was the bicing on the cake. Lovely walking in the area. Friendly village at the doorstep. Thank you for the privilege of staying at your wonderful property.

Quaint thatched cottage
Lovely, quirky cottage which ticked our bucket list to stay in a thatched cottage. However, being two less mobile elderly people we found the uneven floors, low ceilings and steep stairs a challenge.

Lovely comfortable stay in charming house
Characterful cottage didnt disappoint. We had a lovely stay. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the owners kindly provided a few food items to get us started. Only one bathroom so for a larger group, that could be a slight challenge. Everything except bathroom towels was provided which is fine if you are from the UK but not if flying (and COVID shouldnt factor in anymore). The WIFI ID and password also needed updating. The venting of the Aga is to the patio making sitting there difficult, and the fumes waft into the house sometimes too. Its a minor thing though, and we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Our dog was welcome too :)

Charming and historic home
The home was comfortable and the kitchen stove was awesome to cook with. There is only one bathroom and several low ceilings. The pub across the street was fun, and there are markets nearby. There was a French press and a coffeemaker, too. The kids loved playing in the yard! And, hearing the Wed evening church bell practice was fabulous. Stonehenge is a 20 min drive and the airport was only an hour and a half. Great final stop on our trip across southern England.

Lovely cottage, great location
Location was excellent and the cottage was quaint and cosy. Perfect for our pooch with great walks on the doorstep. Only niggles were the stairs and bathroom. If you have old knees the stairs will be a challenge. Also the bath has very high sides so getting in and out the shower was quite a feat.
