There was a ping pong table and board games to keep our children entertained and we all enjoyed using the wonderful hot tub. It is set in a very tranquil location with idyllic views. "Highly recommend to anyone interested in experiencing genuine Bavarian gemütlichkeit in a convenient location near Munich. The rooms were very clean, quiet and comfortable with modern bath fixtures. The food we ate in the gasthaus was fantastic, and if you're lucky enough to eat there on a Sunday you'll love the delicious desserts that are available, to include my favorite German kuchen, bienenstich. The Munchener schnitzel is worth a trip back by itself! The staff at this family-run gasthaus is very friendly, attentive, and are fluent in English for those of us that only speak a smattering of Deutsch. My wife, as well as the other couple we were traveling with, had no previous experience staying in a German gasthaus. We enjoyed our stay so much that we wanted to extend our stay, however, there was no availability of rooms. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Landhotel and Gasthaus Wiedmann!"

"Hotel Sommer is a place where I could stay for a long time. The staff was very accommodating and courteous. The rooms were spotless and quiet. The food was over the top delicious and nothing was left out. And the spa with 5 saunas was top notch with a view of the lake. Overall a stunning and luxurious place to stay. "

"Owner had keys and room numbers for our after-business hour arrival. We nice owner who met guests at breakfast each morning. It was a hotter than normal week in August and like many German guest properties with no air conditioning we went to bed well after the sun went down and the air was cooler. Very nice location the associated restaurant has a very good traditional menu. Also, the owner provided a generous breakfast. "
