Room lighting was only fair. Carpeting , wall coverings , finishes-all dated , reminiscent of the Catskills in their decline years. Room rates with facility fees seemed too high all considered …even for Vermont. They could probably save a ton of $ on heating costs if the double doors to the balcony were properly sealed. Pool was nice and the yoga instructors top notch.

The lodge is absolutely FANTASTIC! It is very scenic, rooms are very comfortable, the setting and views are beautiful, and everyone we met on the staff - from front desk personnel to dining room to maid service - were all awesome! As a fan of The Sound of Music this was always a place I wanted to visit and believe me, it did not disappoint! The grounds were beautiful. There was plenty to do, you really did not have to leave the property! Room was huge, clean and had a balcony overlooking the property. We had dinner at the restaurant, which was delicious! Our waiter, Brian, was wonderful! Can’t wait to go back!
