Situated in a lovely garden on the edge of town the centre accessible by bus or foot.it was so quiet. Great location to explore the Harz mountains. We had beautiful weather the whole week we were there and enjoyed sitting on the balcony when we weren’t going for walks or visiting ancient towns. "I have just spent 3 night and found the location perfect. My interest are the steam trains there. The room was clean and tidy. The only thing missing is tea and coffee making facilities? But you can obtsin this from reception. Parking was a bonus free, unlike in Berlin today. The place to stay if you just want to travel to the top of the Brocken mountain. Also speak good english as the morni g person comes from U K originally. "

"The hotel lighting is very limited, really uncomfortable to stay. Breakfast is not delicious for room rate that I paid. The pillow look like not really pillow for sleep. I don’t want to come back to this hotel. "

"Good hotel with amazingly clean rooms. Room was big and recently renovated, lots of space and nice touches like tea and coffee in the room. Big windows let in loads of natural light, and opening windows allowed fresh air which was nice. The location allows for easy access and parking, and then it's a very short walk to the centre of the historic town. Friendly team and good breakfast. As some other people commented, no, they don't speak English - but it turns out the hotel is in Germany, so don't expect it and you'll be fine. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and a smile, a few signs and a bit of patience got me checked in very quickly. Great value, would definitely stay again. "
