"Stunning views from every angle of the property. So many nice spots to eat, drink and socialise. And the pool, the pool totally over delivered. We spent so much time there with the kids using the umbrellas to provide shade from the heat. The air conditioning was amazing. The drive to the property entertaining also. "Alberico's house is simply enchanting and so is the hamlet of Ponzanello. You really feel like you're stepping back in time (except you have access to all the modern amenities which is great)! "We rented all three houses for 12 people, which worked very well. The grounds and the area are typically Tuscan, very charming and beautiful. The propertymanager is very helpful and available. "It's a long drive up winding hills, but once you arrive in Sassi, you can forget about all your worries, sit back and relax. The main farmhouse and the cottage are both well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The pool was a godsend on especially hot days, especially for the children, who spent hours playing Marco Polo and other water games well into the evening. Our host was extremely helpful and was a walking encyclopedia of information about the surrounding areas, too....

"The house was very clean, comfortable and spacious and we never tired of the superlative views across the valley. Diego and his dad are lovely and always available when needed. If I was to suggest an improvement, it would be a little more kitchen equipment - there was no sharp knife for cooking, no collander, few wine glasses and an oven tray that didn’t fit the oven. A small point that did not detract from a great week in a stand out property. Highly recommended!"

"The road up is narrow and a little challenging but so worth the breathtaking views !!! The pool overlooking the hills and the manicured landscaping were top notch! We were close enough to a small town to enjoy the local restaurants good food, groceries and other towns to do day trips as well. The Villa had everything to make our Stay very comfortable. The little cottage allowed us two couples separate sleeping and bathroom privacy."

"First the owners and care taker Victoria are wonderful people. The home was much more “rustic” than we expected. AC can only be run at night and works intermittently. The shower and toilets are a combination sort of deal. So you shower on a wooden crate they provide while the shower curtain separates you from the toilet. "The small house is in a secluded spot with fantastic views of Castiglione and the mountains, both from the terrace as well as the bedroom. The outdoor pool and jacuzzi were a really nice addition. The owners welcomed us with traditional food and wine, which was very unexpected but very welcome when we arrived in the late afternoon. They also provided us with a lot of recommendations regarding both restaurants and fun things to do in the area. We highly recommend the house and plan to be back. "
