Experience the best of the Pacific Northwest’s fabled snowy winters at this skiing and snowboarding resort, located about a 1-hour drive from Seattle.

Enjoy the wide slopes at the Summit at Snoqualmie Summit Central. Go skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing at this winter resort located on Snoqualmie Pass, which is divided into four base areas: Alpental, Summit West, Summit Central and Summit East. Although the region is less than a 1-hour drive east of Seattle, the wild peaks of the Cascade Range will transport you to a world away. Take advantage of the convenient location and variety of outdoor activities available.

From beginner to black diamond runs, find something for all levels of skiers at Summit Central. For carefree winter fun, zip down the mountain in a tube at the Summit Tubing Center. Test your freestyle skills on the jumps and features in Central Park and Greenhorn Acres.

Challenge yourself on some of the steepest runs in Washington State at Alpental. Expert skiers and snowboarders flock to the legendary Alpental Back Bowls and Backcountry. To prepare yourself for the wild terrain, take a free mountain safety class at the David Pettigrew Mountain Safety & Education Center, located at mid-mountain.

Enjoy fun for all levels on the slopes of Summit West. This family-friendly destination is a great place to learn beginning skills of skiing or snowboarding. For a unique experience, participate in a night shredding session under the lights.

Take advantage of skiing and snowboarding for all levels at Summit East. Begin the day at Milwaukee Lodge to rent snowshoes and cross-country skis or arrange lessons. Admire the mountain scenery during a tour along the snowy trails.

Each base area has plenty of dining options. Warm up with a quick coffee in one of the cafés or enjoy dinner with a view at one of the restaurants. Buy or rent gear or pick up a souvenir at Alpental Sports, Slopestylz or Gravity Gear.

The Summit at Snoqualmie Summit Central’s operating schedule depends on snowfall. Typically, it opens in mid-November or early December. It usually remains open until mid-March, with a weekend-only schedule continuing into April. Check the schedule before your visit…and hope for plenty of snow.
