House was not clean, VRBO didn’t explain this property was in the middle of campground. The bedding in the downstairs bedrooms were stained and dirty; we needed to wash them before we used them. The bathroom vents need to be cleaned along with the tubs and the washer/dryer combo sounds like a B52 bomber taking off on the spin cycle shacking the entire house. Great property if you have kids and want to stay in a campground setting. Just not for golfers.

Family Birthday Vacation

We enjoyed having a space large enough to accommodate our family and celebrate a birthday! The home was easy to find and Ocean Lakes has such great amenities. The home could use a really good deep clean and some fresh bedding. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Ocean Lakes Property

The sute was big which we loved. We had a huge party so we app the space. The house was pretty dirty. Stained linens, things covered in dust, holes in the bathroom and balcony doors we couldn’t open. And palmetto bugs all over the house. Also, we got there and the trash was outside. It had never been picked up and was already full so we had nowhere to place our garbage, plus it stunk. The campgrounds were great. We loved the waterpark. We definitely will be back to Ocean Lakes again but probably a different property.

Golf trip

Overall a nice and spacious place to stay. We had a group of 8 come down for our yearly golf trip and it suited us perfect. Our only complaint was that both trash cans were both full when we arrived so we had no where to place trash bags. Overall we had a great stay. Awesome time!

Family Stay

Good location, with enough room for our large family. Over all the house was clean and in good shape. Biggest issue was the porch and downstairs lights not working. Owner was quick to respond that he was aware of the issue and working to get them fixed as soon as possible.

The house was set up well. The floors were pretty sandy on arrival and leaves all under the carport. This was minor and we enjoyed the stay. We very much enjoyed the porch area and large table as well as the open layout inside for gathering. Great location. Our kids were able to ride their bikes on our street. We enjoyed being a bit further from the center and close to the beach.

Family vacation

Great campground and vacation. Owner was fantastic to communicate with. Lots to do at ocean lakes and family had a great time. Only recommendation is cleanliness. Would recommend discussing with cleaning service about level of their service. House needs a good deep clean. Plenty of room in house for our large group. Great rooms and tv/internet. Great location close to beach!

Great value for the price

Close to beach, comfortable, fit our needs well, average cleanliness, furniture, etc. parking was very tight for a large SUV or truck, not bad for a van or car. Plenty hot water in the bathrooms, but no hot water in kitchen. Nice having a washing machine and dryer.

Beautiful house and large rooms. Wished it was located just a little closer to beach but okay. Bedrooms need an nightstands on both sides for ones who use cpap machines. All in all wonderful memories made in this beautiful house.

Vacation

The house is in a great location. It is overall a nice place but several things need fixing. The washer and dryer makes a ton of loud noise (banging)when it runs. The house needs a good detail cleaning. The vents were clogged and the walls had access dust on them. The floors were not swept when we got there but we did it. Not an huge deal. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the house was large enough for everyone. Thank you.

First Trip to Ocean Lakes

Overall our stay was a positive one. We really enjoyed the activities at Ocean Lakes and the convenience of having so many amenities on the compound. The Unit was a very short walk to the beach, which was very convenient for us. Bedrooms are decent size and there is a TV in each bedroom. We had some issues with the cable going out and the in-unit dryer broke down. Kevin, the owner, was very responsive and was able to resolve the cable issues quickly. He was not able to get the dryer replaced during our stay, but reimbursed us for having to use the on site laundromat. If you stay at Ocean Lakes you will definitely want to rent a golf cart in order to efficiently acess all the amenities.

Family Stay

Many rooms, 3 bathrooms and 3 minute to the beach. The home needs a deep deep clean! Dust and sand on floor. Dust on ceiling fans that we could tell that has not been dusted in a while. Porch was messy with kid's toys and shells when we arrived. Found a dead roach in home. Porch light did not work. The home did not have soap, toilet paper, and paper towel. Be sure to bring. When my family and I were looking at home on VRBO the check out time stated was 11:00 am, but the welcome letter stated 10:00. Secondly, the map on VRBO showed the home along the street of the beach. It is actually down the street, about a 3 minute walk. We were excited to wake up and see the ocean, but the map was wrong. When bringing this misinformation up to the host he just stated it as is. We mentioned if this misinformation would be changed for future guests, he didnt respond. So for future guests, you are not able to see the ocean from home and check out is 10:00 and not 11:00. The host through out asking questions and gaining information about home seemed disinterested in wanting to help and answering questions. Also, are parking passes were not sent to our home when we asked to be sent to guest. Ocean Lakes blamed the host and the host blamed Ocean Lakes. It was a pain trying to get all passes to our family in different cars. We all arrived at different times.

14 of us stayed at the property for a Family Vacation. We were able to fit 4 SUVs under the house and had 1 at the overflow lot. The Owner had good communication and quickly helped when there was an issue with the AC. Close to the beach access and had everything we needed.

Perfect Ocean Lakes Hideaway!

Absolutely loved hanging out underneath the house in the rain. Lots of beds, plenty of room for our large group to hang out, cook, and make memories.

Upon arrival the house appeared to be in normalCondition, until the roaches started crawling out of the cracks in the table and up the walls in the living room. The owner is aware of his bug problem as upon further investigation, I found Similar complaints. I message The owner on day 2 no response. There was a hole behind the couch the bugs may have been coming from. No response. Then day 3 we decided to leave early, and found an anxiety med pill under the dresser. So dangerous as we had small children with us. House has not been cleaned, dust bunnies under dresser and beds, including the stray drug left behind, caked dust on vents, dirty hand prints on bedroom walls, roach traps in every room out in the open, just gross. Ocean Lakes is great but find a different place to rent.
