Recent review of the Schoolhouse Cottage: "The whole experience was fantastic! The owner provided helpful information (shops, things to do, recommendations, etc.) and was she was so helpful and responsive before, during and after our stay! The house is charming, very clean, was large enough for my entire family, and was in the perfect location. The neighborhood is cute, quiet and the house is just steps away from ice cream and downtown fun! We really loved our stay and we highly recommend this home to others! It was all so perfect."

Walk to the beach, town, tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, biking trails, hiking trails, and a movie theater! Everything is within walking distance.

Exactly what it says it is.....
We are a group of friends who have been coming to the Sutton's bay area for the last twenty years or so. We recently lost our normal rental property when the owners decided to take it off the rental market. Fortunately, we found a listing for the Schoolhouse Cottage. The property is in a great location with easy travel to most popular attractions, including wineries, distilleries, and restaurants. While we spend much of our time enjoying all that the Leelanau area offers, we also enjoy our downtime. The "Cottage" itself is clean, spacious, and well appointed. There is plenty of room for playing cards or boardgames, and plenty of seating for our downtime activities. I would definitely recommend the Schoolhouse Cottage to anyone interested in a carefree, relaxing week or weekend in the Sutton's Bay area.

Perfect location!
I could not imagine a better location. We sold our home in Northport last fall, but wanted to continue to spend time in the area. It was great being in Suttons Bay with the ability to walk to shops, restaurants and coffee. Loved Hive Coffee! The house is clean and spacious and the second floor offered great privacy for our kids and grandchildren that visited. We appreciated the investment the owner has obviously made in the property with a relatively new dishwasher, beautiful wood stairs to the 2nd floor, and comfy beds and furniture. The kitchen has everything you need. We enjoyed sitting outside in the sun on the side deck. We suggested that an umbrella might be a nice addition at some point and the owner had one dropped off the next day. She was fabulous to work with and quick with communication if there were any questions. We will be back next year!

Cute Suttons Bay House only a block away from downtown. We enjoyed all the space offered in the home, the fully stocked kitchen to make all our meals in and how easy it was to check in. Melissa was a great host offering many things to do in the area for our family. Our family took a hike at Whaleback trails and went to Tandem Ciders during our short stay.
