The Tate is a pub with older pub style accom with shared bathroom. The room was old and basic but clean. The staff member waited for me to arrive as the pub was shut because of the holidays. It suited me as an overnight stay. I was the only person there. Small thing but while they gave me towels they forgot to provide soap. I had some anyway. The shower pressure and hot water were good.

Barman Tom was very helpful. But the photos are very misleading and it wasn’t that clean. Previous persons used soap in shower. No toilet rolls and a pack of tissues under the covers of the ‘clean sheets’.

I thought for the price that you pay for the night ,it was so cheap, it was such a lovely old historic feel to the place, was a very nice sized room, so clean and neat, the staff were lovely and I told my husband that if we ever need to stay again in Windsor for the night, that's the place we will be staying and to have to room with the ensuite was fantastic.

An excellent stay, with great staff. Enjoyed a good meal and a beer, then walked upstairs to the accommodation. Given that it's a hotel, with shared bathrooms, the cleanliness and good bed meant that value for money was superb. Well worth it.

Good for a night, reasonable price, but the floor was dirty, there was no shower mat, so we had use toilet paper to clean the floor after shower and there was a lot of stairs.

The menu was pretty good, the staff were fantastic. The accommodation was fair,clean but aged. I feel that the accommodation prices were a bit excessive due the room's age and lack of normal fixtures, ie: wardrobes, fresh glasses, fresh water, extra blankets, A/C.

Could not close door to toilet/ ensuite. Sliding door stuck in middle of track. Toilet roll holder fell off the wall. Ceiling paint falling off ceiling. Water stain on the corner of the ceiling. Went down to dining room, Sunday night at 6.55pm and was told kitchen was closed.

I booked it by mistake I expect to chill and beat the 44 degrees temperature that day but it’s in an extremely hot weather so it’s a torture my mistake it doesn’t have an aircon but overall it’s good.

For $120- my expectations were basic for a bloke. The service was friendly and beer cold. Room 3 was a decent size with high ceilings. The decor resembled a Harry Potter horror film without the blood. Mould in the shower, an unrecognizable stain on a wall picture, sheets were clean but stained, mattress had a good life and now overdue its pension, tv entertainment was mediocre to navigate, ceiling paint peeling and the bathroom looked like it was tiled renovated by a backpacker 15yrs ago. On a positive, I was able to get some sleep, but then again, I can squeeze in a power nap on a 10min bus ride.

I didn't like the fact that the hotel room had mould in it on the ceiling and throughout it in the bathroom. Another important issue was paying for the superior queen room bathroom and the shower was not working properly. The water pressure was a drip if that. Complained about this and was brushed aside. Would not recommend this place to stay at all.
