The Urban is a great place to stay in an area of Sydney that is just bursting with life. The rooms are spacious with great facilities and in the foyer, they have 24/7 tea, coffee, biscuits, wine and beer. What more could you ask for....friendly staff??? This is without doubt the best thing about the Urban :-)

I didn’t like that we couldn’t alter the booking when I wanted to reduce it by one night. We left the day before we originally booked because our plans changed and we weren’t able to cancel one night in advance of the holiday. We had to pay for the last night anyway.

The Urban Newtown was a lovely hotel with very helpful staff and the best cleaning crew in the world! The facilities were a bit different from what we expected, as there was nearly no room for our things. Is was a very small hotel room, and we had to move some of the furniture in order to even access the bed. It felt a bit claustrophobic, as if they had stuffed too many items in the room. Other than that, it was a lovely hotel with really cool common areas and an absolutely perfect location! Thank you :)

The location was excellent. All the plants and art in the common area was cool. The room was interesting, but the room wasn’t set up that well for twin beds, but was ok. Bathroom smelled like bleach, but it was very clean. Liked the free drinks, apples and little bags of chips in the arvo. Would have appreciated the tea and milk being replaced in the room after we used them though. Still recommended though.

I loved my stay at The Urban Hotel, Newtown. I had the cutest little room, totally compact with everything I needed. Clean and comfortable and with a very clean and well stocked kitchenette. No stained coffee mugs here! Everything was spotless! Only thing missing was a box of tissues! The Urban is in a great location in the heart of cosmopolitan Newtown. Everything on your doorstep, bars, cafes, restaurants, supermarket, shopping, entertainment and public transport. Even though it's on a busy road it is quiet, safe and oh so convenient. Reasonably priced and with a selection of goodies free every day in the lobby😁
