very old hotel. very old towels, beed sheets were clean but old, very old and dirty air-conditioning, room was clean, but furniture is pretty old.
Pretty much everything is average as I would expect from hotels I've been to in the Philippines so far. Not the cleanest or dirtiest just average but as I have come to expect great customer service.
The place is currently under construction. The air conditioner in the room did not work!😡It’s currently 9@ degrees in the Philippines. The staff was kind enough to change our room .
Lots of noise here also due to the construction!💥💥💥😱
I loved the friendly and knowledgeable staff, clean room and bathroom and ease to restaurants and shopping but no coffee or warm water to have tea or coffee when needed.

Staff was professional. Property and amenities were simple.
stayed here many times before when it was called "d'angelo" good hotel very good breakfast, the only place in Tacloban where they can toast bread properly !!!! keep up the good work Canelsa
Do not book online! I booked a room for my wife and two kids. Picture showed two twin beds. After booking it showed one double bed. They get there an it is one twin bed. Not big enough for all three. The hotel would not change. They had to sleep sideways. NEVER AGAIN
Certainly not as the picture describes.Curtains so thin that the light outside the window lit the room up..so I checked out, before my sleep would be totally ruined.I realise it's not an expensive hotel but at least consider the sleeping arrangements,if you have a light outside the bedroom window shining in the room, provide blackout curtains

Very noisy, rooms were old, location not so good. Staff was great.
I had a birthday celebration to attend in Barugo on 11 February and stayed in Tacloban 10 and 12 February. The hotel was pleasant and the staff helpful. There were several restaurants and stores in the area.
PROS: Nice room with powerful a/c (almost too much), a basic breakfast, nice staff, and decent wifi.
CONS: Restaurant was only available for breakfast, no refrigerator in room, their picture show what looks like a coffee maker but is actually a thermos, so you cant make coffee, hot water was slow to come up but it was available just took a long time to get to the bathroom.
