The house is lovely and has all the amenities we needed, including the laundry room. It was clean and comfortable, we had access to the thermostat and extra blankets to keep us warm in January, and the view from the upstairs windows was very nice. It's also very conveniently located close to bus stops and the T line, which you can use to get to every tourist-y thing we wanted to do in the city, as well as fantastic restaurants, like Moshi or Corina. The host was awesome and accommodating, and responded very quickly when we had questions. We hope to get to stay here again!

We stayed the weekend for a family wedding. The home is within walking distance to downtown and McMinimans, where the welcome party was held. We did have a pet and appreciated the fenced-in backyard.

This house worked well for our group. It had room for everyone. House has been updated and is new inside, while having the charm of being in a historic neighborhood. Would stay here again.

This house was spacious enough to comfortably meet out needs (3 adults). It was reasonably clean and check-in was easy. The location is great for walking to restaurants and shops, quick drive to the Ruston waterfront and the train station for a day trip to Seattle. House could use a little TLC (clogged bathtub/shower drain, toilet handle sticks causing it to run, water damage stains from skylight in primary bathroom, mysterious red stains on one of the comforters and a bedroom rug, etc). These issues didn't affect our stay, but we appreciate accommodations with a little more attention to detail.

Location was excellent. Walkable neighborhood.
Good space but very basic furnishings. Not very inviting. Not enough seating in the living area. Old food items left in the freezer and cupboards.

A perfect place to stay when visiting my son and daughter in law who just moved to Tacoma. Close to the train and easy access
To Seattle for sightseeing and getting to the Seahawks and Commanders game. Cozy, well equipped house and all three bedrooms with comfortable beds and bedding. Hope to be able to stay here next time we visit.

Overall the house was good. The location was perfect for us. Enjoyed the local restaurants, both walkable. Parking was easy. Lounge seating was limited with just one couch and one chair, anymore than 3 people would be an issue. Other than that everything else was good.

The home was spacious and gave us plenty of space to spread out. The house is on a busy street but neighborhood is in a very pretty area of Tacoma. We enjoyed walking around the area. The host was very quick to reply to my questions. Thanks for having us.

Great location overall. The location was clean and not cluttered. Easy to check in and the owner was accommodating for an early check in. We would stay again.
A few things that are helpful to be aware of. It is an older home so smells crept in so every so often it would smell like weed like it did outside. Depending on who you are with it is good to know about this. Homelessness is high in Tacoma so we did not park in the back as there were some homeless individuals camping in the back alley. Once we parked in front we felt much safer.

The house was well stocked and included everything we could need, from extra blankets to an electric kettle to laundry pods. Every detail was considered by the hosts and was highly appreciated. While the front steps of the house may seem daunting at first, they are easy to climb; and there is an additional at-grade entry elsewhere on the house.
Host was friendly and responsive to our questions. House rules are very reasonable. The neighborhood is beautiful and not far from local coffee and conveniences.
Overall I would recommend this space for anyone in need of a comfortable, pet-friendly space with a full kitchen and on-site laundry. I’ll directly friends and family to this listing when they come to visit.

This was a very nice home in a Wonderful neighborhood close to the waterfront, downtown, and the University of Puget Sound where we attended graduation.
The house was great for our family to stay in to celebrate our Daughter’s graduation!
Unfortunately, while the listing said it was pet friendly (which is absolutely on me for booking the property) there was cat hair under beds, and the house would have been perfect if it was thoroughly deep cleaned.
Several family members experienced allergies in the house, and I even paid for a hotel room for the last two nights of the stay due to extreme allergies.
We have a cat, that is indoor/outdoor and I have never had such an allergic reaction, as did other family members.
The host was very responsive and helpful.
Please just note that if you have dog or cat allergies, this property isn’t ideal.
