"The room was good and conveniently located right across from the station. However, noise was an issue. We stayed in room 104, and there was constant noise, possibly from the restaurant downstairs, which stopped around 11 PM but started again in the morning. The room was also too warm, and we had to keep our terrace door open all night to cool it down. "

The room was larege enough , however the bathroom is very small & old styled , especially the shower area , it’s just so small & the two sliding doors of the shower area were too old so that difficult to close properly , maybe our room was not located in the new building of the hotel ?! Maybe the room located in new building of the hotel would be much better & more modern …….. The hand washing liquid machine is not in good condition,...

"Returned to Alpenhotel 43 years after experiencing it as a child and my wife was equally captivated by its charm. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, the room was excellent with a super view of Lake Traunsee & the mountains and it's a short hop into the charming town of Gmunden. We only stayed 2 nights towards the end of a European driving tour and would definitely go back. Excellent menu choice and top quality good too!"
