This comfortable cottage has three bedrooms and sleeps a maximum of 6 people. Two double size bedrooms have a queen size bed while the third bedroom has two single beds. All beds have electric blankets for those cold winter nights. All bedding including clean sheets, quilts and doonas and bath towels provided to guests, but you will need to advise how many beds need to be made up.
There is one bathroom in the house and an extra toilet and shower located in the outside laundry. Kitchen is fully functional with crockery and cutlery provided. Property has a dishwasher. Reverse cycle air conditioner for both heating and cooling in the main living/dinning area. Pedestal fans in 2 other bedrooms.
Lampe House has a carport with ample parking. There is an outdoor table and chairs on the patio . There is a brick BBQ/firepit in the backyard but you will need to bring your own firewood. The local Talbingo supermarket does sell bags of wood. The backyard is enclosed and safe for children and pets.
Telstra 4G service only in Talbingo area, always check coverage with your mobile phone provider. There is currently no WiFi at our property.
You will enjoy the surrounding natural environment and iconic Australian native wildlife. You might even receive a visit from Talbingo's peacocks. On clear nights the sky is filled with stars perfect for stargazing.
Enjoy waterski on Blowering or Talbingo Dams, enjoy a short bushwalk to Mill Creek Falls in Talbingo itself or extending bushwalks within the Kosciuszko National Park. Mountain bike trails are also popular. Talbingo Dam has a lovely picnic and swimming area for when it gets too hot. Or take a dip in Jounama Creek.
Ski or just enjoy the snow at Selwyn Ski Resort. Explore the nearby towns of Adelong or Tumbarumba. See the beautiful colours of Autumn and come to the annual Festival of the Falling Leaf held in April in Tumut.
Trout fishing season opens the October long weekend and closes June long weekend.
