Basecamp Eagle View

3.0 star property

"STAY FAR AWAY. My stay at the Basecamp properties was a nightmare. My guide had no idea about wildlife, didn't bring water on a 5 hour drive, & took my camera without permission & started taking photos of me. I requested to switch guides & to be in a car with other guests. For 1 day, I was with other guests, but then was put back in a car alone. The translator for the guide repeatedly asked me if I watched porn, if he could come to my room, asked me if hyena sex turned me on, etc. I told...

3.0 star property

"Absolutely loved our time at Basecamp. The location is perfect, at the edge of the Masai Mara, we heard the lions at night, while sleeping. The staff all of them, were so friendly and helpful from the front staff to the night guards. Camp on a river, so you see the animals come for water, open view to see them roaming across the river! Perfect setting! So peaceful! The best cook Enoc! You don't want to miss his food! We booked 2 nights and ended up staying three! Loved the Masai Mara,...

"Moldy bed sheet, dirty light switches, broken bed net. Smelly bar area. When I reported the above issues, 3 groups of staff came and decided to offer me a bottle of free beer ( wine). I don’t drink beer ( wine). Then the manager knocked my room door twice to force me to accept it. I paid $NZ 1100 per room per night. This is the worst 5 star hotel I have ever experienced."

"A beautiful property BUT with a very bad management... I was harassed by the hotel front desk manager for hotel payment since arrival- even though I provided proof of credit card payment and payment confirmation from hotel.com too. They ignored it and kept asking me to pay in full before my departure because hotel.com had not paid them yet. This payment issue ruined my stay and my entire trip! I had to spend lots of money on long distance/ rooming calls to try to resolve the issue. As a...
