I’ll start with THE PRO’s The grounds are nice with lots of trees and fauna. The people that work there are nice and friendly. The location to the night life and shops are close to the hotel. They have a 2 for 1 happy hour from 4 to 6 pm every day. There were howler monkeys nearby and some iguanas. Two nice orange kitties, one is missing an eye. Good security. Met a lot of nice people THE CON’s When we got there in the afternoon about a hour before check in time, the door was locked, because the reception person was running around doing everything. After a little wait, not to bad. The hotel has seen better days. The deck around the pool is falling apart. While we were there for 4 days, I never seen the pool get cleaned. They ask you to not turn the ac below 24C. You cannot put anything in the toilet except what comes out of your body. Toilet paper and such must go in a waste basket! The food at the restaurant is just OK. Parking is on a busy road. We had nothing to set our suitcase's on, so we had to set them on the beds, not good. TV’s are not great. Very, very noisy from loud motorcycles, heavy trucks and loud music. Probably will not go back.

A beautiful oasis close to all the action of Tam. Staff were excellent and accommodating. Rooms were extra clean, patio with hammock was heaven. Pool area was quiet but allowed for chats with other guests. Would definitely recommend and will stay again.

This was a cute hotel. The amenities and pool area are nice and it is a great location. Walking distance to the beach where we were able to rent chairs and surf. Walking distance to many restaurants and the nightlife which all fell safe. Parking is also easy. However, the actual room of the hotel is not anything special. It is very plain and straightforward but was good for us because we were really only in the room for sleep for our 3 day stay.

It was a pleasant stay nothing to complain very walkable to the center of tamarindo. I have to complain about the fact I went to the office three times one to book my transportation back to SJO airport and twice to confirm my transportation, I was told it was all confirmed and the day of checkout the driver never showed up and sent a new driver (thankfully got us on time to our flight 5hr drive) they acted like this was no problem and blew it off when it wasn't I was flying international and could be late and miss my flight. The people at the front desk never confirmed our transportation. So I would say make sure you get all the info and numbers and confirm yourself with the driver. Other than that it was very nice hotel.

We had a flooding situation in our room due to heavy rains…however I still give this place a 5! They moved us to a new room, refunded the first night, washed all our clothes for us that got wet and offered free breakfast during the rest of our stay. The staff was so helpful and kind and made an unfortunate weather situation so much better!

Would absolutely stay here again! Great Service, perfect small feel like you left town yet you are right in the middle of it. THE BEST in room Coffee as well. We were very disappointed upon our arrival at the hotel. It was not like what had been described to us. The actual appearance did not match the pictures. Our room was swarming with mosquitoes and spiders. We killed about 10-15 before going to the front desk. Despite bringing this to the attention of the front desk, all we received was bug spray. Our room was not properly cleaned with hair all over the shower and stains and sand on the sheets. Additionally, there was a lack of hot water. When going to breakfast we saw bugs crawling all over the buffet, after ordering food it lead to us getting food poisoning. Our experiences with booking activities through the hotel were equally disappointing, with tours not living up to their descriptions and not booking the shuttle we paid for to take us back to the airport. The only positive aspect was the kindness of the staff. However, based on our overall experience, I would not recommend staying at this hotel.
