Authentic charm, exceptional views, picturesque surroundings!
Located in a tower of the Kasbah wall, a stone's throw from the tomb of the famous explorer Ibn Battuta, in the heights of the old medina, this small traditional Moroccan house overlooks the old town and dominates the bay of Tangier. Its roof terrace offers one of the most beautiful views of the city!
Completely renovated, it is tastefully furnished and decorated in a refined traditional style! Spread over 3 levels, it is composed on the ground floor of an entrance hall, a living room with an extra bed for two people, a small kitchen, and a bathroom with Italian shower. Upstairs, a bedroom with a double bed, another adjoining bedroom with a bunk bed, and a second bathroom with Italian shower. On the top floor, a very sunny private terrace with outdoor kitchen, summer lounge, laundry area with washing machine, and a magnificent panoramic view of the medina and the bay of Tangier. This house of character has survived the centuries and is part of the historical heritage of the city. It is the ideal place to discover the unmissable district of the old medina of Tangier.
In order to avoid any unpleasant surprises, we would like to clarify a few points:
The house is not suitable for people with mobility problems. You have to climb a few fairly high steps to access the house, which can be difficult and tiring. There are also two staircases inside, one to access the first floor, another to access the terrace.
The house is not suitable for young children. The windows and the terrace are not secure and can be dangerous for them. Children must always remain under the supervision of an adult.
Finally, despite all the care we take to keep the house healthy and clean, it remains an old house, by the sea, in a working-class neighborhood. There may be humidity (especially in winter), there may be dust, there may be seagulls that come to dirty the terrace, there may be unwanted insects… This is not negligence on our part. A cleaning lady comes before each stay and cleans the house from top to bottom. These are the hazards of this type of house. By deciding to stay with us, you should not expect to find the services of a luxury hotel. You will nevertheless find the charm of the old and the traditional with all the modern conveniences.
We also draw your attention to the fact that the city may reduce the water flow at certain times of the year (especially in summer) and/or at certain times of the day, due to a water shortage in Morocco. This may cause drops in water pressure in the house.
