Scenic cabin in the woods
Just what I was looking for. Secluded home at the end of the road. With beautiful Mountain views. Very peaceful and tranquil. No king size beds, but sleeps five adults comfortably. If you’re looking for peace and quiet and beautiful views, this is where to stay. I will definitely be back.

Great Second Stay
Stayed at the house back in 2022. Was back again in 2024. Had a great stay. Will stay again next time I’m back in Taos. Did I leave a blue and white bandana in the dryer?

A great place to escape the Texas heat!
Enjoyed everything about the property and accommodations. Only one complaint... there is a sulfur smell in the water. It probably needs checked out to make sure there is not a serious problem affecting water safety.

Great property. Great hostess. Our family of 7 fit just fine. Nice views. Nice deck/porch areas. It’s about 10min to the Plaza in Taos and about 20min to Sipapu ski area, so the location was good for us. Winter weather was not a problem for access in our 2WD van (though, it does have snow tires). Kitchen was sufficient for cooking suppers at night. You can hear the rush of the nearby stream. Definitely a property to book again in the future.

Beautiful Cabin in an Excellent Location
We had an amazing week at the cabin for our family ski trip. It's perfectly located between Taos and Sipapu Ski Lodge. The owner is extremely helpful and replied right away to any questions we had. I would not hesitate to stay here again, and I hope the cabin is available the next time we are planning a trip!

Cabin in the Pines
Our host communicated very well. We enjoyed the big glass windows and woodwork in the cabin. The porches would be great to sit on during spring, summer or fall! It is very conveniently located between Sipapu ski resort and Taos. Thanks again for our stay. Ford Family

Cozy cabin in Taos
We enjoyed our stay. It’s a great location, quiet, and as advertised. Beds were comfortable enough, though many were very small and best suited for small children. The temperature in the house was hit or miss, but space heaters helped. Basement beds were very cold, even with the space heater. Some of the amenities were old/expired (spices, bathroom products, dish sponges), but we made do. Short drive to town and Sipapu skiing. Would book again.

Cozy winter getaway
Our first trip as a family to the snowy mountains. And Brooks Cottage could not have fit our needs more perfectly. Keeping an essential stock of pantry items, Plenty of space, a fireplace with firewood provided, comfortable beds, with updated power and water, just a great stay. We loved being surrounded by woods, blankets of snow, and privacy. Only about a 10 minute drive to Taos, and a 20 minute drive to Sipapu. We would happily stay here again.

Great Cabin
We loved the space that afforded each of the 5 people in our family their own personal space. Our boys loved the creek that’s nearby and spent almost the entire time there. Also, the washer and dryer were especially useful after all the trips to the creek :-). We were also very impressed with the sky! We got to experience the Starlink constellation while we were out there. My astrophysicist husband absolutely LOVED being able to see that and we would never be able to see it where we live! Thanks for a great stay!

Lovely place for a visit to Taos and Carson National Forest
This cabin was perfect for our visit to the area. It's close enough to town for eating and activities but far away enough to feel like you are in nature. The place is very clean and well stocked. Having the bedrooms on 3 floors allowed for privacy and space from each other. Recommend this place!

Wonderful stay in quiet peaceful home
The cabin was very clean and the atmosphere was wonderful. Lots of space and comfortable. Additionally the owner was prompt when responding to questions. Definitely a unique experience as it’s out in the forest a bit which is scenic but yet still a short drive back into town. Quiet and spacious with many of the amenities of home. Would definitely consider staying here again in the future whenever back in the area. Tip - cellphone coverage for us was minimal at best so be sure to have the Wi-Fi info ready ahead of time. Once connected the Wi-Fi is fast and stable (we were able to steam movies).

Nicely Remodeled; Beds and Water could be Improved
I chose this property for my family because of its proximity to a friend's home. From that perspective, this home is ideal. Additionally, the renovations that the owners did on the home are nice. The kitchen is nicely appointed as well. Areas for improvement: the water at the cabin had a strong sulfur smell, so we were bringing in water for drinking from the store. The owner mentioned that the filters are changed every 3 months and that we were likely on the tail end of the cycle, so hopefully this won’t be an issue for others. Lastly, the beds were not as comfortable as I was hoping. We’re a tall family as well, so the smaller-sized beds throughout the home and the lower level of comfort left some of our 40+ aged family members a bit sore after 7 days. All that said, it's a great value if your group is looking for a place in the area.

Great View and Great Vacation spot
We had a fantastic time here!! We highly recommend, and cannot wait to come back. We came to NM to ski and to hike. The cabin is beautifully decorated, cozy, and, has a great view of the mountains. It is somewhat secluded ( which we loved) plenty of room to explore right outside the backyard. The host does a wonderful job of making sure the home is stocked with pots/ pans/ towels/ soaps/ linens , etc. I also had a very quick response from them when I had questions. We will be booking again soon :-)

Perfect location.
The cabin is great! The location of it is perfect if you are skiing Sipapu it's only 20 minutes from there and it still keeps you just a few minutes from town. Even though it is very close to town you would never be able to tell, it feels like you are in the middle of the nowhere and is very peaceful. The inside of the cabin is very spacious and has everything you would need. The only less desirable thing we encountered was the water had a bit of a sulfur smell. Other than that the place was perfect! We will definitely be staying here again!

Beautiful Retreat!
The pictures do not even do this cabin justice. This was perfect for our group to come to town from out of state for snowboarding and enjoying the views. Parking was easy and it was nice being at the end of the neighborhood. It was very quick access to Sipapu where we had our lift tickets. It was also a short drive to Taos for an evening out. It was cozy and relaxing! The kitchen had everything we needed to eat all of our meals there. The place was clean and the bathrooms had hot water. We played games at the table in the common area and enjoyed the comfy couch after days of activity! We can’t wait to go back!

Great location near Taos - beautiful cabin!
This home was perfect for our family of 4 (older kids), we were able to have the best of both worlds: easily explore Taos and ski at Sipapu. We like to cook our own meals and appreciated the well equipped kitchen. Thanks, we hope to be back next ski season!

Lovely family sized cabin in Carson National Forest.
This cabin was perfect for our family of 8’s stay. It was perfectly located between Sipapu and Taos ski valley. 15 min drive from Walmart made online order pickup convenient too. Full sized washer and dryer was a huge plus.
