"This is an adequate place to stay if you go in with the expectation that it is a homestay, not a hotel. All staff were very friendly and courteous. The floor was quite clean but the room was very basic and old, with dirty walls. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. A light breakfast is included but other amenities listed on Expedia were not: for example, there is no daily housekeeping and no toiletries, not even soap! We did get towels and toilet paper upon request! Also note there is NO HOT...

"The family are very friendly and tge breakfast Was good. They made you feel welcome and treated me like family. I was given a yellow rice Dish when they were celebrating a ceremony and Told me that eating the yellow rice is part of their culture. Overall was a good experience."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Jati cottage. We were really sad to leave. Our room exceeded our expectations on arrival. Our room was accessed up our own set of steps, we had a large private balcony overlooking the pool. 2 double beds side by side which was perfect for our needs, there was also a sofa in the room. "The Eden House was an incredible oasis minutes from.the busy shopping area, with a literal.walk into a peaceful, personalized haven. The Buddist feel and decor, both sophicated and warm, was paired with homemade breakfasts and a hands-on owner. I wouldbot have stayed anywhere else!"

"If you want to experience local life and local food this is an excellent place. We loved our stay here. Wayan met us at the cruise ship at the start of our stay and took us to the airport at the end of our stay. His wife prepare tasty Balinese breakfasts for us each morning plus a couple wonderful dinners we ordered. Their daughter was a dancer in the Balinese show we watched at the community temple. "We stayed for only one night and this place was perfect as a stopover before taking the fast boat to Lombok. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the property was clean and tidy. As a bonus we had a meal the evening before we arrived and I had a “ monster burger” which you could tell was cooked with care and delicious. All that and breakfast thrown in ! Difficult to beat for the price and highly recommended."

"This place is an absolute treasure! Do not leave without experiencing the Ultimate Retreat Package at the Dewi Sri day spa! After two years, I returned, and all my expectations were exceeded. So much so that I had to force myself to leave the resort to head into the city centre to buy a few gifts. I love every single thing about this resort - in particular the people and the setting. This is a place, where you simply must put your phone down and take in your surroundings, let them wash over you, soak in them, engage with the beautiful staff, watch and listen to the wildlife, really taste the magnificent flavours of the dishes served. If you do this, you will return home renewed, refreshed and ready for anything! This is a place that will steal your heart with beautiful traditional Balinese hospitality and its jungle setting. You will see the most phenomenal array of plant species, and if you put your phone down, you will experience such an incredible range of different coloured butterflies, carpenter bees, exotically coloured dragonflies, exotic (for us) flying lizards on the palm trees as you eat your breakfast, endangered long-tailed Macaque monkeys (pls don't feed), squirrels, etc. If you are concerned about all the delectable food they serve (breakfast and afternoon tea was included in my package) then there are complimentary yoga classes, a gym, 2 pools, and lots of breathtaking walks."
