We had just come off a Rick Steves tour of Venice, Florence and Rome and took an express train south to Naples and treated ourselves to a seaview deluxe room at the Royal Continental and the view was fabulous, the room comfy and clean and the staff gracious and accomodating. There is a busy waterfront promenade but take a room at least 3 stories above and it wont be too noisy and once you close the balcony doors it is quiet. Love this treat of a hotel! So many trattorias, cafes and ristorantes around N the breakfast buffet with waterview all glass wall seating is to die for!

The staff were too arrogant, not friendly and did not assist us in booking a reservation at the roof top restaurant saying it was fully booked and we passed by the restaurant it was empty but refused to dine in out of principle and went for a nearby restaurant.

Location: We loved staying near Piazza Carità. It was close to many areas of interest and the metro. It was also extremely lively and walkable. Property: Clean and accommodating. Our flight was delayed and it meant we would miss a night at the hotel. They were super helpful in adjusting our booking. A hassle-free experience. Special thanks to Expedia support for helping with this. Overall, had a great time and would stay again.

Perfect spot for Royal Palace visit
"If you want to visit the Caserta Royal Palace ( a must) one should stay at the Vanvitelli. A beautiful hotel, great spacious rooms. Great bathrooms, a terrific restaurant, bar and also a really good spa to soothe the traveler. We will definitely bring family and friends here again!"
