The food was less desirable at the grill restaurant. Chicken wasn’t properly cooked and lacked flavor. The ribs were undercooked as well.
The chefs at all the restaurants should pay attention to the food before leaving the kitchen, sometimes they lack flavor. But overall, I would recommend this hotel to everyone. I had a great time.

Nice hotel and grounds with good access to the boardwalk. We stayed at the RIU Arecas, the hotel immediately behind it. The RIU Palace is a good hotel if you want larger hotel gardens and boardwalk access for the elderly etc. However, if you don’t mind walking down a large flight of steps, the RIU Arecas is the same standard and had better food.

Need to book in advance as when we arrived tickets for cable car were sold out.....as they were for the entirety of our visit to the island

Drove up mount Teide to watch the sunset. But the sun disappeared into the clouds. Would of preferred driving to the top during the day.

Take a drive over from the south to the north over Teide then come back round the coast. Some amazing scenery and great roads.
