The Doors and windows don't have any fly screens so you can't leave them open as you'd be swamped by bugs and mosquitos if you leave the doors and windows open to cool the place down. They need to install AC in all bedrooms rooms and living rooms and or put screens...

"We were not sure what to expect with our stay here. It is mostly a holiday campground for tents and trailers, but they have 8 hotel rooms for rent. The room and bathroom were spacious with a well-equipped kitchenette. There was a nice patio with chairs and a cafe table. The beds were comfortable and the room was spotless. The campground personnel were helpful and friendly. The campground is on a lovely lake with hiking trails. Fishing is close by. The location is conveniently located near Twizel. We were pleasantly surprised by our very comfortable accommodations. "

"Really great spot to stop for a night ... room was super clean, beds were really comfy and location was perfect for walking to one of the many options for a bite. Check in was a bit unusual but easy. Last time we were in NZ, we stayed in Tekapo but it was really expensive this time - I would chose this spot in Fairlie over Tekapo any day. Fairlie Bakehouse pies really do need to be eaten to be belived - awesome! "
