"A fabulous stay in a well-appointed (and beautifully-decorated) room! The location was excellent, a short walk from all the historic sights, and I very much appreciated the ample wardrobe storage and the kitchenette. Check-in was straightforward and communication beforehand was thorough. "Escaped the crazy, and embraced peace. The Barn is a perfect place to unwind. Clean, spacious, with a well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Located in a quiet cul de sac in a small hamlet miles from the noise; and yet within a short drive to good pubs and country shops. This is an our second Christmas at The Barn. It’s a gem."

"Beautiful surroundings, able to walk freely enjoying the scenery. The property itself was lovely apart from a few mishaps inside the room for staff to consider. "upon arrival Christina was very pleasant and helpful checking us in, we later returned to reception to book breakfast, this is time we were dealt with by Charmain, who was also pleasant and helpful. The Room was clean and comfortable for the 3 of us, we used the pool twice, which was a nice treat to have this downstairs , this too was clean and appeared to be well maintained. Overall a good experience all round, will book again if we need to stay in the area again"

One night stay for wives Birthday

"Booked this for a quick get away for the wives birthday. We arrived early and had coffee then wine in the suntrap of the hotel gardens. The outdoor areas are quiet and a real bonus for this hotel. I think it has had a recent refit judging by the signs and quality of the hotel, all areas are lovely, nothing tired about this hotel. We paid for half board and got a three course meal in full, and judged the food above the normal, more top restaurant than pub chain. But the Hotels top card is its location seconds from the tourist areas of Stratford. We do a lot of this sort of thing and it got us thinking about about the best stays and hotels, we have came to the conclusion, when we look back this will be up there with the best. Not often a hotel with the best value exceeds your expectations, but this stay certainly did that. If I am splitting hairs the pool could be bigger, but it was certainly big enough! This hotel shouldn't disappoint, just go for it. "

"We had a lovely experience at this hard-to-fault country house hotel. Noticeably, nothing looked, worn, old or tired. We slept in Room 10 which overlooks the garden and which, going by the fire safety plan on the back of the door, looks to be the largest room on the 1st floor and yes, it's big! Very comfortable 6-foot bed (proper ‘king size') and nice to have a central ceiling light as well as wall and side-table lamps. The bathroom was not huge but adequate, with a large walk-in shower cubicle, ample water pressure and good towels. The public areas, especially the bar area, we found understated, so not especially welcoming, but this was more than offset by the high standard of service from the front of house staff. A special mention for Dan behind the bar who, whilst young, has the right attitude. A good number of tables and chairs outside for al-fresco drinks and meals in the well-kept lawned garden. We chose to eat a light meal in the bar and thought the food was well prepared and good value. Likewise breakfast. The Cotswold (full English) was perfectly cooked and nicely presented. The bacon in particular was thickly sliced and seemed not to have shrunk in cooking. The spread of self-service items was varied and well displayed on a huge table. Altogether a lovely stay; we have every intention of going back"
