"The location of the place was ideal for hiking and getting to many attractions in the area. We enjoyed being out of town where one could enjoy the falls and river. Accommodations had everything we needed and the bus took you from the rails basically to the doorsteps of the place. Would stay there again."

"Although the apartment is compact it is well thought out. Having two bathrooms was a real plus. The kitchen has everything you need. Proximity to the station was an important point. We had excellent weather so spent our days out in the beautiful area. We would especially recommend going up the Hasliberg lifts out of Meiringen and taking the bus from Meiringen to Scharzalp for lunch at the mountain Inn and then another bus to Grosse Scheidegg down to Grindelwald."

"Overall a great place to stay and will be looking to stay here again. If there is one criticism from me, it's the pillows are down and collapsed to basically flat as soon as your head is on it so could swapped out for something better but apart from that a lovely place to stay with great views."

"We came in the summer looking to hike in the area and it was great. We were there only a few day but wish we had a longer stay. Many hiking/biking trails. Sabrina is a wonderful host and very helpful. It is not a large house but the 3 of us had plenty of room. The kitchen has everything you need and all the appliances worked and appear fairly new. "The Myron Palace was truly exceptional. Very responsive staff, great buffet breakfast in the morning, guest rooms were immaculate. The one big negative was dinner in the main dining room – the service was extremely slow after the appetizers were delivered. We waited almost an hour for the main dish. "The room was perfect for 2 of us. Amazing view of the valley and mountains too!! The staff were amazing and very helpful, and the restaurant service wad top notch as well. I would definitely stay here again! SUPER minor thing but I would add a fan to the room (we closed the windows because it was raining quite hard and windy, so it got pretty warm at night)-- but that’s about it!"

Absolute gem with gorgeous views

"We had a fabulous short stay here. The hotel is very close to Wengen station and we managed to walk up the hill with our (small) cases without too much bother. Check in was with the lovely Miriem (sorry if I've got that wrong!) who showed us around and gave us plenty of information about the hotel. The room was good (deluxe double with balcony), beds were comfortable with plenty of space. Bathroom was basic but clean. There were lovely little welcome touches, such as a personalised card and biscuits. There's a kettle (hoorah!) and a coffee machine. But the absolute best part was the incredible view, which actually brought us to tears as we were so overwhelmed. We were lucky enough to be in a corner room with two balconies so had morning coffee on one overlooking beautiful chalets and the valley and evening drinks on the other for sundown. We made use of the outdoor swimming pool (6 francs) which is just a few minutes walk away and we had a quick walk through the town which looked very lovely and lively. We'd planned to go for drinks and some live music but were too tired from our excursions to Interlaken so just enjoyed drinks on the hotel terrace instead. We popped to Lauterbrunnen to see the waterfalls as this is only a 10 minute train ride down the mountain. We were also lucky enough to meet the hotel's resident dog, Caramel, who came to give us a friendly welcome. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and definitely recommend this hotel. We will be back!!"

"Room had amazing view of the mountains and a little balcony where we sat just taking in the views and the sounds of the birds, cow bells, and thunder. It was a very clean and comfortable modernized room. Loved the bed! No elevator, but I loved the rustic vibe. Front desk very friendly and helpful."
