We booked a luxury room with balcony with a view of the Rialto Bridge. However, the hotel only has two rooms like this - one room with green decor, which is featured heavily on the website and a second with Red decor.
For the first few nights of our stay we were in the 'red' room. The website description of this class of luxury room is 215ft2, with wardrobe and dressing table. The 'red' room is much smaller perhaps about 120ft2 and just wide enough for you to squeeze past the bed. There is no wardrobe or drawers to store clothes. Whilst the view from the balcony is magnificent, the hotel should not be classing both these rooms together. The red room is adequate with a great view, but certainly not luxury .... even for Venice.

"We loved the room, which is undoubtedly the most important part. With that being said.. upon arrival we walked into the Check-In area and the desk clerk was loudly arguing with another employee. The argument persisted for 10 minutes and we werent acknowledged until it was over. The check-in process ..."

"The room was bigger than expected. Nice bathroom too. It even had a balcony. The bed was not comfortable and the linens were stiff. Also, when booking they advertise free shuttle to the airport which is not free. The taxi costed 20 euro. We had a very early flight from Venice so this was a good option ..."
