Fussball table, coffee maker, towels, sauna, room darkening covers on windows, deck for watching the sunset, countryside beautiful, air conditioner for sleeping area. "Aufgrund der zentralen Lage im Grünen Herzen Deutschlands haben haben wir das Haus für ein Treffen mit unseren Kindern und Enkeln gewählt. 8 Erwachsene, zwei Teenager, 2Kleinstkinder. "Haus entspricht voll der Beschreibung. Viel Platz und gute Aufteilung der Räume. Küche gut eingerichtet.Waren mit dem Haus sehr zufrieden. Ein kleines mango gibt es. Frauenwald ist ein kleiner Ort ohne einkaufsmöglichkeit. Nächster Einkaufsmarkt ist 6 Km entfernt in Schmiedewald. "

Schloss Weissenburg - misleading pictures

"I chose this hotel due to its idyllic look & since I was traveling with 4 colleagues, they all booked here too. On arrival, found out you don’t stay in the schloss, rather a very unattractive side building, freezing cold, tiny room. The restaurant was closed, another reason I had chosen this hotel was because it had a restaurant, nobody told us it would be closed. Very poor. The service was friendly at breakfast & that’s my reason for ranking this at okay. The lady was lovely & made our start to each day a pleasant one ."

"Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable lodging in a central location. Small water bottle in room at arrival would have been nice, but local mints in bathroom and Christmas chocolate on pillow were very thoughtful. Would also have liked to see homemade jam instead of high glucose factory stuff as an extra touch at breakfast. Blackout curtains worked and bathroom was modern and spacious. Would definitely stay again. "

"Lovely quiet, rural area. Fabulous forestry, rocky outcrops, scenery so green. Great for walking, cycling, exploring this part of northern Bavaria. Even though rural roads, superb, easy from A to B. Staff lovely in the hotel. Spoke good English for restricted German speakers. Comfort Room spacious and clean. Little terrace with outside seating. Great views. No sound issues from rooms next door or above (we were ground floor). Great shower! But no tea/coffee facilities in room. The usual wonderful buffet breakfast. Adequate evening meal but then chose to eat out in the evening for the other two nights; wanted to experience more. Didn’t use Spa or swimming pool; too much to do and see elsewhere in the vicinity to include in our three night stay. "
