With centuries of art covering its walls, sculptures hanging from ceilings and a soaring glass conservatory, this museum in Naples is a 360-degree experience.

Discover a stunning variety of art at The Baker Museum. Within its walls, the 30,000-square-foot (2,800-square-meter) facility showcases modern and contemporary art from around the world. Explore the museum’s three stories and investigate its special exhibits.

The Baker Museum, formerly called the Naples Museum of Art, is a division of the Artis–Naples campus, a sprawling cultural center north of downtown Naples. The campus calendar is packed, hosting over 300 events throughout the year. Watch a dance performance or listen to a concert by the Naples Philharmonic.

Your experience begins as you walk through the museum’s doors, abstract works created by famed metal artist Albert Paley. Look up when you enter. You may mistake the ornate hanging glass sculpture by Dale Chihuly for a massive cluster of colorful icicles.

Explore 15 galleries spread throughout the museum’s three stories. The Baker Museum is renowned for its extensive contemporary Mexican collection, featuring works by Diego Rivera, José Clemente Orozco and Rufino Tamayo. Check out the permanent collection, including art from Rembrandt, Matisse, Calder and others.

Walk through the impressive range of temporary exhibits. Browse through meticulously curated photographs, sculptures and even fashion. Marvel at the soaring glass dome in the Figge Conservatory. It is a piece of art in and of itself and also serves as a backdrop to unique temporary exhibits.

Take advantage of the free guided tours offered every Tuesday through Saturday. Learn about the museum and its notable pieces of art from a knowledgeable docent.

Dine al fresco at Cafe Intermezzo. Enjoy a fresh lunch or a light snack at this airy restaurant. You do not need to purchase a museum ticket to access the café.

Check the museum’s calendar to see what special events are scheduled during your visit. Enjoy free admission and live music during Art After Hours on the last Wednesday night of each month. The museum frequently hosts guest speakers, art workshops and more.

Visit The Baker Museum any day except Monday, when it is closed. If you visit often, purchase a museum membership. Park for free in the Artis–Naples campus parking lot.
