"Mimosa Cottage is a beautifully appointed, comfortable and warm home. There are so many places in the home to gather together or simply sit alone quietly. The heating is excellent, although the fire ran out of gas while we were there. Nevertheless, the air conditioning kept us quite warm. The kitchen had all we needed (except matches for the fire pit). "I have been traveling around Australia for the past 14 days. I want to say David is a fantastic host and will go above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable. The Chalet is a beautiful old building from the 1800s that has modern amenities and great WiFi. Parking is easy and the continental breakfast will get your day started. I think this might be our favorite stop and hotel during our journey so far. The Blue mountains and wonderful lookouts are just a short 15 minute drive away in the near town of Katoomba. In England this would be called a Bed and Breakfast but in Australia it is a place to rest and really relax and be taken care of by David. Wonderful place. Great host!! "
