"This is a simple local hotel like most of the other places on the island of Ikaria. The rooms are above the bakery, there's a terrace with a view of the town square and beach, and the owners are very friendly and helpful. A collection of local restaurants and cafes sits steps away along the beachfront where visitors, mostly older people there to bathe in the medicinal waters of Therma's, hang out. "We stayed in the 'presidential suite', which was a really lovely apartment, with a stunning view over the sea. Breakfast isn't worth it - you would be better off going down to the town and eating in in one of the cafés. The one serious problem with this place is its location - it is very difficult to find, and no matter what your GPS or Google Maps says, you should go to the town first, then drive up the hill. Also, it is a long and steep walk down to the town, and a real ordeal to come back...

"We stayed in this lovely home for a week with a total of eight family members. The house was large enough to accommodate all of us without feeling cramped. The house is newer construction with three nice bathrooms and a functional kitchen. The views are spectacular and you can hear the crashing waves as you fall asleep. The house is just outside Armenistis but close enough to walk to town. It's also a short car ride to Nas. I would rent this house again without hesitation."

"Nikos was welcoming and helpful and friendly the area of therma is lovely, it has a really pretty bay , my room faced a small mountain which was really nice to look at it has a path that leads you up above the bay. the cleaning staff were wonderful my room was small but good value."

"Stunning setting in a beautiful converted old farmhouse. It was so peaceful, a natural paradise. We were made very welcome and it was easy to contact the owner, George, should we need anything. We loved exploring the island on a scooter. We found lovely beaches at both sides of the island. And there is a great, traditional taverna about 30 mins away. We didn't want to leave!"
