2. Angel of Independence Monument

Mexico City’s Angel of Independence Monument stands as a tribute to the heroes of the Mexican War of Independence from Spain. From 1521when Hernán Cortés defeated the Aztec nation, until the early 1800s, the vast country of Mexico was a colony of Spain, separated by the wide Atlantic Ocean. 3. Xochitla Ecological Park

Spend a day with the family enjoying the recreational and educational attractions at Xochitla (Xochitla Parque Ecológico). This non-profit ecological park strives to encourage physical recreation, promote environmental education and protect nature and biodiversity. Xochitla is a green lung that covers an area of 170 acres (70 hectares). It features an adventure playground, an arboretum, flower displays, parkland and a restaurant.

4. Arcos del Sitio

The Xalpa Aqueduct, or Arcos del Sitio, is one of the most thrilling and fascinating features near the historic town of Tepotzotlán. 5. National Museum of the Viceroyalty
