The large garage was invaluable on rainy days for entertaining the kids and drying washing. My only gripe was the lack of transparency about linen hire, cleaning charges and the need for a 500 euro deposit, neither of which were mentioned in the listing, meaning I didn't bring a cheque book and had to sort it all out...

"The gite is spacious with plenty of room outside too for games. It's close to many beautiful sites and the owner was very helpful in pointing these out and recommending places to go. The lac at Clairvaux was fabulous for families."

"Check in wasn't great - took 3 room changes to get the book ed twin room instead of a double. Restaurant was very good - good food with quick service. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast. Sadly our stay was spoiled by another hotel guest shouting and singing at 2am for about an hour. Eventually someone came to deal with it but our night's sleep was ruined. Also there were smokers in the non-smoking rooms which we could smell. "
