The village of Treknow, just above Trebarwith Strand Beach encapsulates Cornwall's rugged beauty and rich history, making it a quintessential holiday destination. Nestled on the north coast, Trebarwith boasts stunning cliffs, golden sands, a fabulous pub with cliff top setting and excellent surfing spots. The beach is dog friendly all year round and within easy reach via a 10 minute walk (0.5 miles) through fields opposite the cottage where it is also possible to join the South West Coastal path. Just a mile away lies Tintagel, famed for its legendary connections to King Arthur and its dramatic castle ruins perched on the cliffs. Visit Port Isaac (7 miles), to see where the famous Doc Martin show was filmed, or the historic Boscastle Harbour and St Nectans Glen and Waterfall, less than 5 miles away. For those seeking adventure further afield, Rock and Polzeath (14 miles) is well worth a visit, and the fabulous foodie capital of Padstow is only 20 miles away (or less if you catch the ferry from Rock). Whether you're drawn to the history, natural beauty, or outdoor activities, Trebarwith Strand and Tintagel provide an enchanting holiday experience, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and exploration amidst Cornwall's captivating landscapes.
