"Wow! Whalesback Cottage was the Nova Scotia oceanside escape that we were looking for. Our own private space – no traffic … no crowds … and the only sounds were the waves hitting the rocks. "We loved spending our New Years together here at this property. Everything was very nice, especially the hot tub. Great place to relax, and it wasn't a far drive from stores and such. The only complaint we had was the bed was a touch too hard (for her anyways) but this was easily remedied by just folding up some blankets to use as cushions. Recommended to bring some kind of mattress topper if you prefer a softer bed. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our hosts! Thanks again, Julien...

"The location was good and the kitchen was well stocked in as far as dishes, cutlery, towels,laundry detergent etc The place needs a good cleaning! The chair in the living room needs to be cleaned as it had a bad odor. The downstairs bathroom especially. Lots of missing light bulbs making the place dark. "Bring your groceries and leave your worries behind. This out-of-the-way vacation cottage is a great place to settle in and watch the waves. We spotted seals, eagles and fishing boats gliding past. We took a winter getaway and so were not able to use the patio, but it looked very inviting even with snow on it. The unit was well stocked with cooking items, the furniture was very comfortable.
