Maybe the best APA I’ve stayed at? They have a public shared bath on the 20th floor with an open air hot bath <- my favorite amenity (I used it every night I was there). It’s about a 5min walk from Otsuka station, but the walk is a little uphill, so if you have luggage, be prepared for that. The area has a lot of shopping and dining in the area, so very convenient place to stay. Also about a 20min walk to/from Ikebukuro (if you miss the last train) and are out singing karaoke late. You can also have your luggage shipped to/from the airport by filing out the form in your room or talking to the front desk. Very convenient when you’re leaving to be hands free. Only costs ~1500jpy and can ship packed luggage days ahead of time. Would stay again!

for location and price this is one of the best in Tokyo. very close to mostly everything and the ease to get around cant be beat. walking to the hotel is less than 5 mins. convenience store at every corner.

It's my second consecutive time staying here when I come to Tokyo. It's right on the Yamanote line and super close to the subway station. It also has very convenient stores, restaurants, and a Family Mart and Lawson's a stone's throw away. The only gripe I have with this property is the elevators. They are SO slow and there are too many people in the property to only run 3 elevators. You'll see during rush hour that it stops at almost every level. Please fix that and you'll get a 5/5 from me! Thank you!

excellent location , short walking distance to JR train that connects directly to Tokyo station. Everything is provided , including refillable water machines, the only thing is the room size is quite small, quite difficult to open luggage but I find this is same in every hotel Can even borrow umbrellas

I asked for a last minute extension and the staff was very helpful and patient even with my limited Japanese. I could not use the onsen because of my tattoos, but that is fine. The other amenities are useful. The location is excellent. Very short walk to the station, and plenty of tasty food around. 5/5 stars all around.

Whenever my room was cleaned, it wasn’t completely thorough, although the staff around the hotel were super helpful and the location was excellent. The 20th floor made everything very convenient, as everything I needed was right there. Very close to convenient stores as well. Will recommend.

Good stay. Not great. The AC in the room put off a REALLY musty smell. I noticed it every time I entered the room, although it faded before long. (Or rather, I got acclimated to it.) But for those first few minutes each time I entered the room, it smelled like cat pee. ugh. (This was room 1133, btw.) Anyhow, the front desk staff was lovely, the cleaning staff was pleasant, the TV had an HDMI port that I could plug my Switch into and the Otsuka area was nice if not busy. There's a Family Mart and a Lawson on either side of the hotel, and a 7-11 on the other side of the station. There's a Picaso (a mini-Don Quixote store) next to the 7-11 and a McDonalds (with self-ordering and table service) and a Starbucks across the street from it. I started to wonder why APA hotels don't have a "Do Not Disturb" sign. When a cleaning day falls on the day before I'm going to check out, it REALLY feels like I could hang the "Do Not Disturb" sign and let them clean the room after I've checked out. But, alas, there's no "Do Not Disturb" sign to be found.

All good, except the checkin got complicated because I made a reservation for 2 rooms and 2 people each, but during the check in they only provided one room, it took a bit to get it sorted, but after that all was good!

I have stayed at this property three times now and I feel that this is an excellent hotel for a budget solo traveler that is willing to pay a bit more for privacy. The rooms are compact - I find this to be true of most Japanese hotels, but APA are def on the extremely small side. If you’ve not stayed at one before I would check photos just so you understand the space. The storage under the bed allows you to make the most of it but you really will be working in tight quarters. That being said, everything is clean, you have great access to the yamanote line (under five minutes walking) and are minutes from major stations like Ikebukuro and Shinjuku when taking the train. In addition, the public bath on the top floor of the hotel is a great bonus that really lets you relax and there is coin laundry available if you need it. Overall, this is a property I see myself using again in the future and one I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice hotel on a budget.
